These two beautiful holiday cottages are real hidden gems, nestled in the beautiful open countryside of Cheshire in a private rural location. Tadpole Mews has been recently renovated and is jam packed full of character with a unique mezzanine style sleeping arrangement. This is the smaller of the two cottages and is therefore most suited to accommodate a couple/two adults or a family . Tadpole Cottage, which can be found next door, has the most wonderful bright and airy open plan living space on the upper floor really making the most of the stunning views. Beautifully furnished throughout, they both come with their own private hot tubs, just perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the great outdoors. The owner lives on-site and is on hand should you need advice or assistance during your stay.
Located on the edge of the pretty village of Tilston, the cottages can be found opposite the picturesque Grade II listed St Mary’s Church. Tilston has a small shop, pub and restaurant, and for anyone with young children the playing fields include a playground and pump track for bikes, scooters and skateboards. The large village of Malpas is just 3 miles away and is picturesque with half timbered buildings. Here you’ll find ample amenities together with a Norman motte and bailey castle. Ideally placed for visiting Chester, Wrexham, North Wales and Shropshire, there’s a plethora of activities and attractions within easy reach. The historic walled city of Chester is just 30 minutes away and has much to offer including a racecourse and zoo, as well as excellent shopping and restaurants. Delamere Forest and both Beeston and Cholmondeley Castles can all also be reached in 30 minutes. Bolesworth Castle which hosts a number of events including the International Horse Show is a 10 minute drive. Just over the border into North Wales is Wrexham and its recently promoted football club (Wrexham AFC) made famous by its Hollywood owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny, whilst Llangollen is a great place to explore, with its horse drawn canal barges, steam railway, and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. White water activities, such as rafting, tubing and gorge walking, can be found slightly further afield in the Snowdonia National Park. Best of all are the large amounts of walks and cycling routes which are available straight from the door. Pub, shop and restaurant ½ mile.
Tadpole Mews (UK33551) can be booked together with Tadpole Cottage (UKC4437) to accommodate up to 8 guests.

Beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings.
Beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings. The perfect size for us as a family of 3, but would have equally suited a family of 4. Very comfortable beds and sofa. The kitchen was well equipped and the hot tub was a lovely extra. So much to do in the local area. We’ll be back.

A well equipped cottage which was nice and clean.
A well equipped cottage which was nice and clean. Looked beautiful from the outside and was just as beautiful on the inside. Lovely view of horses and the church. The hot tub was a great addition as the days and evenings started getting chilly. Cannot fault it, we didn’t want to leave! Location was perfect really, close enough to the big cities but also far enough out to enjoy the countryside. Would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay at Tadpole Mews. The photos do not do the cottage justice, it is even more lovely. Very clean, everything you need provided. Beautiful relaxing location. Close to amenities. Very friendly and helpful host. Recommended to freinds and family already.
