Overall nice cottage. Bedrooms needed a deeper clean as behind the single beds there was evidence of lots of dust. The wardrobes smelled musty.
The living room sofa covers needed a wash and were obv stained. One chair in particular smelt of sweat.
Kitchen was well equipped although could have done with a new frying pan.
This is a nice cottage but needs a bit deeper cleaning attention.

Thank you for your honest review. I have passed on your comments to the owner and they are aware that a deep clean will be put in place following a very busy summer.

Fox cottage
We loved it was just right for us, I apologise for leaving boot room messy but the bad weather on our last day made it impossible not to bring wet mud in and obviously we had to be gone so could not wait till it improved. Even our dog settled straight away. The only issue was the drive and not having recycling bin

Yorkshire Dales
The location is good for exploration of the dales and for travelling to the North York Moors and coast. In most respects the cottage is excellent and everything works. Persons with back problems should note that the double mattress is one of the hardest and the narrow shower restricts movement.
The village has a grocer, several food pubs, a chip shop [closes 8pm] and clutter [sorry, antique] shops, and Leyburn, a mile away, is similar.
