The Abbe Cabin features old Tahoe charm in three separate units––Lakeside, Lookout and Roadhouse. Our lakefront compound gives privacy for families or groups of friends and everyone comes together for a Lakeside meal, drinks on the big deck, or games by fireside.
One queen bed in each unit, plus a bunk bed room and two daybeds in living room. Sleeps 8 comfortably, with flexible options for 2 more—maximum of 10 guests. A well-behaved dog or two welcome.
Plowed, level driveway to a 2-car garage gives easy winter access from the main road around the lake; large sloping lot insures quiet in the units.
We do not allow parties, weddings, funerals, or commercial activities at the property. Next year's summer calendar will open the first of December.

The three cabins worked out perfectly for multi-generational groupThe views were unparalleled and each cabin somehow seemed to have everything we could need and things we didn’t even know we needed till we found them!
My friend group and I had a wonderful week at the Abbe Cabin. The place itself feels very homey and the family and their property manager were easy to work with. I enjoyed the location and the hot tub, boats, and other amenities.

The interaction with everyone was wonderful. They were very helpful and more than willing to answer. Any questions we had. The biggest thing for me was the cobwebs everywhere, it needed a very deep cleaning and just some things updated.
Wonderful location right on the waterfront with plenty of space for a larger group. Our party of 9 had plenty of room to enjoy Lake Tahoe. The host was very responsive and accommodating and the property was charming and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!
The Abbe cabins were absolutely perfect!! The location was unbeatable. We enjoyed our time so much! The kitchen was well-equipped as was the house. The view was gorgeous, and we all loved it! We would love to return next year!
We had a wonderful stay. The three houses gave privacy for each family and a place for coming together. The location, just in front of the lake is unbeatable. The kitchen is complete with all the tools you need for cooking and the beds are confortable. What else do you need?
We spent most of our time cooking and eating on the deck, relaxing in the hot tub and using the kayaks and SUP on the lake
Dined at Car Woods 3 mins from property Plenty of towels and linens and found everything we needed from hair dryer iron citrus juicer coffee maker but the star of the show is the view!

Sonia, we are so glad you enjoyed your September stay!
The Abbe cabin(s) were exactly what we were looking for in a Tahoe vacation. Charming, warm, and full of character. We had a great trip!
The hosts were excellent at communicating as well. All necessary details were shared in advance about conditions resulting from heavy snowfall in the area.
Can’t get any better, location is unbeatable. The three separate cabins was so great for multiple families. We had our own sled hill in the backyard. Deck is big and beautiful. Hot tub was clean and hot. It’s the best VRBO ever!

Thank you, Nick! We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again.
Amazing cabin right on the lake!! The Separate cabins was nice because it gave different family members their own space along with their own toilets and showers. The main cabin was perfect with kitchen and family room large enough for our family of 8. The deck overlooks the lake and only feet away from the lake itself. The deck has a hot tub, gas BBQ, and plenty of seating for a large family. We highly recommend this place!

We are glad the cabins worked well for your family! Thank you for contacting us during your stay to let us know of something that needed our attention, we really appreciate it.
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely Lake Tahoe home. The location right on the lake was unbeatable, and the deck provided beautiful views, especially with the wonderful weather we had. The living room had a warm, homey cabin vibe that made it a cozy place to gather and relax. One thing to note is that the twin beds are more suitable for children than adults, and the layout requires walking through one sleeping area to reach another. This setup might not work for all groups, but we had a great time and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and stunning lakefront location!
What an amazing property with a location that can not be beat! The 3 residences were perfect for our group - allowed for privacy when needed and a great spot to get together to cook and hang out. The bedrooms in the lookout and Abbe cabin are cozy but comfortable. Our teen kids couldn't get enough of the hot tub and we couldn't get enough of the view. The hosts were quick to respond to our questions and were very helpful. Highly recommended! You will not be disappointed.
I’ve been coming to Tahoe in the summer for 20 years. This is the best experience so far. My wife, baby son and toddler enjoyed our birthdays, and then some family came with their dog; it was magical. The location is the best on the lake. The home is perfect for everyone who stayed. The deck is SO good. The hosts are amazing. HIGHLY recommended. Coming back here every year.
This property is amazing! A unique layout that accommodated 5 couples and two dogs easily, we all had a great time. Access to the water is super easy and the views for those who stay in the hot tub on the deck are stellar. Communication with the property owners was incredibly timely and pleasant. Check in and checkout instructions were clear and simple. All in all a great stay.
Fantastic location and ideal layout for a group. Look forward to staying there again!

About the host
Hosted by Jessica
We are four sisters who love family time at the cabin. Our own children have grown up here, and the grandkids are now loving it.
Why they chose this property
Our great-grandparents camped near Tahoe City in the early 1900s. Our grandparents continued the tradition, camping at Bliss State Park each summer. Our parents purchased this lakeside retreat in 1974, continuing a happy tradition of summer on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
What makes this property unique
Comfortable, charming and convenient, with beautiful views of crystal-blue water and snow-kissed mountains. The private rocky beach and lake shore provide a welcome retreat from civilization. A lakeside public path, which meanders north along the shore, delivers you to Carnelian Bay and its 3 restaurants, store, post office, dog-friendly beaches and public pier.
