Talla Hope is an outstanding retreat to enjoy this part of Scotland.

Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: Staffin is a small and delightful village resting on the northern half of the Isle of Skye. Within the village, you will find two restaurants, two shops and a part time opening Post Office, in addition to the Staffin Slipway for sailing, the only sandy beach in the north of Skye and lots of walks. The town of Portree is approx. 17 miles away, where you will find even more amenities and things to do.

Amazing location

The house is much bigger than it looks and has great amenities. It’s right by the sea and has a beautiful view, the drive to/from it from either direction is absolutely stunning.

A wonderful stay

The property was in a stunning location with a beautiful view. Our neighbours included 2 highland cows who kept the children entertained! The house was extremely comfortable and after long cold days exploring the gems of Skye it was lovely to come back to a log burner to warm up.

Très bon séjour!

Cette résidence était très agréable, très calme, et propre. Il y a toutes les commodités (attention juste pas de lave vaisselle comme mentionné). Elle est située au nord de l’île de Skye, non loin du Old Man of Storr. Nous avons été surpris qu’elle soit sur la route, mais finalement c’était pas gênant car vraiment peu de passage. Si l’occasion se présente nous y retournerons.

Un environnement idéal

Talla Hope est une ancienne église qui a été transformée dans un logement confortable. La maison est bien équipée malgré l'absence de lave-vaisselle, il y a néanmoins un lave-linge séchant. Les 2 salles d'eau sont neuves et impeccables. La chambre "parentale" est en mezzanine de la pièce principale. L'atout majeur de la maison est sa situation : depuis les fenêtres, on a déjà une très belle vue sur les prairies environnantes où paissent vaches et moutons, on aperçoit même la mer ! Et elle est également proche de nombreux sites d'intérêt comme Duntulm Castle, Quiraing, Fairy Glen... C'était parfait !
