About this property

Sandy Toes, Burnham Market, Norfolk

Enjoy a relaxed coastal lifestyle in this beautiful detached lodge, set within a private gated development, with the most wonderful open views across neighbouring fields. Located just a five minute walk away from the heart of Burnham Market and a mere five minute drive to North Norfolk's spectacular coastline: the perfect combination of coast and country living.

Sandy Toes has a prime position on the boundary of a prestigious development, The Poplars, which has a village aesthetic, and enjoys a private patio terrace with uninterrupted views. The spacious and well-designed interior has top notch fixtures and fittings all the way through, as well as underfloor heating in the bathrooms to keep you and your un-sandy toes nice and toasty all year round. The open-plan living area has two double sliding doors opening to the main side terrace, to take advantage of the view and flood this space with light. The three bedrooms (one king-size master and two super-king size zip and links which convert to twins) all have supremely comfortable mattresses on the beds, along with plenty of storage space. Two fully tiled smart bathrooms (one is en-suite) both have showers, with the family bathroom having a bath as well. The patio terrace runs around two sides of the lodge and creates a seamless open vista all around. The west facing outdoor 'lounge area' is the perfect place to settle down with a glass of whatever you prefer, to watch the sun as it goes down on another day.

If you don't know of Burnham Market by now, then you should! It's a hot Norfolk destination loved by everyone and once you have visited you will know why. It's a very pretty, Georgian 'town' (officially), although in reality it's a traditional village that surrounds a central green with a beck running through the centre. Full of independent shops of every kind, galleries, jewellers, restaurants - from smart to casual - cafes, pubs, butchers, fishmongers, a hardware shop, garage, tennis courts, village stores as well as a beauty spa....... the list is endless. There was no doubt a candle makers too in it's day. And, all of this, without losing any of its village charm. There's plenty to keep you amused right on your doorstep before you even consider the possibility of exploring the surrounding areas and the fabulous coastline (see Location Information below). You may very well find you need to stay longer than you think!

Additional Information:
A nespresso citiz machine has been provided at the property (please bring your own pods)

Absolutely wonderful!!
We arrived to a spotlessly clean lodge, the holiday park isn't yet completely full and it was quiet and peaceful with this particular lodge having a wonderful view over a field, with owls hooting at night and orangey sunsets every evening (we were very lucky!). The lodge has everything you could desire, plenty of cooking equipment, all mod cons... boiling water tap for tea/coffee, full size fridge/freezer, wine fridge, range cooker.... the bedrooms are spacious and decorated very tastefully with TVs in every room (kids were beside themselves!)... the bathrooms both have underfloor heating... a gorgeous deep stand alone bath... now I have lots of ideas how I might redecorate my bathroom at home!! :-) Burnham Market is a beautiful village with lots of really good shops, bakery, deli, sweet shop!! Gorgeous cottages and a lovely church, great footpaths for a country walk, but you're also a short driving distance from Wells, Brancaster and the nearby Nature Reserves... wonderful. Thank you so much, we will return as soon as we can.

Lovely accommodation, but cleanliness standards were very poor
Lovely accommodation, fully equipment with everything you could need for your stay. Great location, with a great Chinese and fish and chip shop on your door step. But on arrival we were not very impressed with the level of cleanliness, floors felt dirty, dust gathered in corners, cupboards and underneath dining table, also ledges and taps in bathroom very grubby, and rug was full of dog hairs. Cleanliness aside, it was a fantastic lodge, with a wonderful view from the outside balcony. There was a lodge delivered and installed right next door to us on the last 2 days of our holidays, which wasn't ideal but it was entertaining for my 5 year old, we did receive a call to advise us that this would be happening, but it was after they arrived at the site.

Great stay in lovely part of Norfolk
A very comfortable lodge within a short walk of the centre of Burnham Mark, and with a garage and take-aways on the doorstep.

Stay at no 13 Sandy Toes
Beware! I was miss-sold this holiday. The website made no mention of the either the fact that the site was still underdevelopment (45 lodges in total) or that the photos of the outside would not be extant by the time we arrived. It also made no mention of how many lodges were going to be on the site and how many were already in situ. The customer service I received was wholly inadequate. Having complained about the prospect of lodges being moved in and worked on during our holiday I was FINALLY only offered a refund on the morning of our holiday starting when we were already on the journey there. In no way shape or form was I allowed to look forward to this holiday from two weeks beforehand when I was told lodges would be delivered and moved in either side of the one we had booked during our stay. The whole booking experience ended up somewhat stressful and unhappy. The building works which lasted 3 days of the holiday (I was told half a day per lodge) and started at 8am. Apart from this, which was rubbish, luckily for us only about a quarter of the lodges were in situ and only about a half of these were occupied.
