This place is pretty quirky, with a kitchen plus 2 armchairs and a small table for dining, bathroom and bedroom upstairs with quite a low ceiling. Parking is good. Place warms up quickly, shower is electric and fine, warm water only from kitchen hot tap, so small and compact place with a price to match compared to other places in the immediate area.

It was an experience more for one person not two. A typical rail cottage of its tme.
We enjoyed this stay, a fun and colorful little place that did have everything needed.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage suited our needs, and we appreciated the amenities in the cottage, including the laundry, kitchen and shower facilities. The setting is lovely and quiet, and we enjoyed walking and exploring the village, the stunning views, and finding sea glass by the shore. It definitely suited our budget as we were able to drive into the Isle of Skye, spend the day, and drive back to the cottage for the night, The cottage is also close to Eilean Donan castle which we really enjoyed.

The cottage is in a lovely, remote spot with beautiful scenery in the surrounding area. The cottage itself is small and basic, but we enjoyed its quirky character and bold colour scheme! It was fun to stay there with our seven year old for a couple of days.

This is not just a place with a bed and a bath, but was an experience. It starts with the peaceful setting that is a bit off the beaten path. Next are all the bright interior colors that have been used throughout. There are a lot of interesting pictures and items on the walls that give one the impression that you are a visitor in someone’s home. Of course the bed was fine, the hot water plentiful, and the washer and dryer handy. My short stay here was very nice and added to my experiences in Scotland. I hope to get visit again.
Fantastic location, lots of beautiful places to visit around, picturesque views. Nice and cosy lodge where you feel like adventurer. Very attentive owner with good communication. 100% enjoyed our staying. Thank you very much xx

Quaint and quiet little out of the way spot right near the lake in a secluded village... Comfortable cottage, well appointed with necessary amenities... Sorry driving distance to food options... Only issue we had was with the wifi, we simply could not get the password to work... No big deal... Enjoyed our stay, would recommend...
The property was suitable for an overnight stop. Not much in local area, so stock up with whatever you need at Spar in Lochcarron. Although the bedroom can accommodate a family of 3, it's more suited to a couple.
The cottage was great for 2 people with easy access to the sights. Just two notes: 1) The stairs to the bedroom are steep, so be aware of that if you have any mobility issues. 2) The unit smells strongly of cigarettes, for those who may be sensitive.
Real cute place to stay, beautiful views looking out the upstairs window. Very attentive landlord, friendly and always helpful. A mild musty smell when entering and dont drive there at night. Very scary on the roads. The place had all the amenities you need, warm shower nice cozy bed a kitchen if you wanted to cook. Wish we had more time during the day to explore, im sure it is amazing walkibg around the property.

Good communication from the owner before we arrived. Property was an old cottage, but quaint and clean and had everything we needed except milk or sugar. The washer and dryer was a bonus.

Railway cottage
Although a bit out of the way for places to eat, the accommodation included a full kitchen so you can cook a meal. Also a washing machine and dryer which was a big plus for us. Stairs quite steep up to bedroom so as we were only staying one night we just took the clothes we needed in a backpack and left suitcase in vehicle or downstairs.
A little remote but lively location. The headroom in the upstairs bedroom is a little restrictive for a tall chap like myself. It was a slight challenge to find the various light switches but no drama. Kettle, tea and coffee were provided but no milk. Emergency provisions (canned soup and some frozen items) were available but it is a 20 minute ride/drive to the next village where I had a delicious meal at the seafood restaurant.

I ignored the reviews and booked this place as I could find nothing else in the area. The unusual decor was no surprise as this was very clear in the pictures. Neither was the 3rd bed being a mattress on the floor.Unfortunately the place was not clean. The floors had not been vacuumed and there was a layer of grime on switches and pipes. This could only be as a result of long term failure to clean the place properly. Zoom in on the pics.It was also much too expensive for its size and facilities compared to other properties we had booked on the NC500 route.

We could not stay. After seeing property we left and found other accommodation. The photo on booking site was not the property.
Lovely location with a short walk down to a harbour with beautiful views. The property is a little dated. The kitchen/dining/lounge area is all in one small room. The bathroom is downstairs. There are steep stairs up to the bedroom which is an attic room with low sloped ceilings. The kitchen utensils were basic. There was no tin opener. Fortunately we had a multi-use tool with us that had a tin opener. The area closest to the house was very wet and muddy when we're staying and I think it could do with some more gravel on it. We ended up parking further down the road. The garden area has nowhere to sit out.Overall it was a nice place to stay and we found it suited our needs because we were only there for 3 days.

This place is well off the beaten track. No shops, no restaurants just a rail station with a few yrains a day. Its very good if you have a car and want a base close to Skye. Beautiful area, cotage homely but very basic. Noce bedroom up stairs, well equipped kitchen and bathroom down.Thats it, perfect for two.
