Perfect in every way ! Absolutely charming !Quiet location , but just steps from the center of town , shops, and restaurants . The amenities were outstanding - everything seemed brand new and spotlessly clean . We enjoyed the Cotswold walking books left for guests as well as the stock of DVDs. Highly recommend !

Cute cottage, great location
Perfect location for a small family or group in search of a great vacation spot in the Cotswolds. The cottage has so many amenities, plus grocery store and restaurants nearby. Being able to roll out each day and walk along the lovely river and adjacent walking trails was a huge plus. The residents on our street were helpful and friendly. It may have been sheer luck, but we were also able to find street parking in the immediate area. Thanks all.

Fun Vacation
We stayed here for a week. The location of this place is perfect. You are walking distance from everything you want to see in Bourton. It is also close to beautiful walking paths to Slaughter villages, Stow on the Wold, Little Rissington, and Clapton on the Hill. On the book shelf there is a box that has information on various walking routes as well as books on Cotswold villages. The place also has plenty of board games and DVDs that my kids enjoyed. Parking can be a problem from 9 am onwards until 5 pm which is when people do day trips to Bourton on Water.
You can find this place on VRBO and other sites but I got the best rate booking it via StayCotswold.

Fantastic Stay for May half term
We had a fantastic stay at Lavender Cottage during the May half-term holiday.
The cottage itself is quite small, but it worked perfectly for us as a family of four plus our dog. We loved its quirky character, especially the uneven floors upstairs, which added to its charm. The beds were very comfortable, and the cottage was spotless when we arrived.
What really makes this cottage stand out is its location in Bourton-on-the-Water. It is right in the heart of the village, with all the main attractions within a 10-minute walk and the river just 25 metres from the front door.
When we arrived, all of the free parking spaces outside the cottage were occupied, so we unloaded the car and parked overnight in one of the local car parks. However, we discovered that most of the cars using the free spaces left by around 7pm, so we were able to move our car into a free spot the following morning. Most of the spaces were then taken again by around 9am each day.
As we had our dog with us, we were pleased to find some lovely walks through the local fields directly behind the cottage.
We would definitely recommend Lavender Cottage and would love to return for another stay in the future.

Beautiful
Cottage was spotless and in an ideal location. Television had no aerial, could only watch catch up TV through apps which wasn’t a major issue but if you wanted to watch the news or settle down of a night to watch soaps etc was disappointing.
Parking was ok for us as we managed to get a space but I can imagine in the summer this would be really difficult and would cause a problem for some. We will definitely return but would look at other accommodation if in the summer due to parking.

Comfy stay in amazing location!
What a great stay at Lavender cottage, we stayed for 3 nights recently with our toddler at it was so well set up. Great service and location too, just a short (beautiful) walk away from the town centre. It was so cosy and great with a kitchen and courtyard. We would definitely stay again!

A lovely place to stay, very comfortable with all amenities close by.
A great place to visit the Cotswolds from and nice to 'chill out' in the evenings in front of the fire.

In a very good location, and very cute! Parking could be tricky if you didn’t get lucky, but not a problem on our trip. Definitely on the smaller side, but for a couple of close friends it was really lovely!

This is a wonderful small cottage just steps away from the path along the stream in Bourton. It has a small windy staircase to the bedrooms that may trouble some but the house is warm cozy and well appointed. We would love to stay again.

Had a wonderful stay! Although close to the main area it was very very quiet. On some rainy days I sat in and read a book . My favorite was sitting in the kitchen with the half door open listening to the birds and cows. Very comfortable and clean.
