Amazing view but otherwise left much to be desired. There are about 20 steep steps with narrow treads down to the apartment. Carrying luggage up and down was very challenging particularly as Torquay is not the kind of resort that attracts younger guests. Street parking is a lottery with not sufficient spaces for the large number of apartments. After circling for over half an hour we eventually had no option other than park illegally.Communication with the host was excellent until I pointed out some dangerous trip hazards in the apartment and then they ceased. We had been advised that half the toilet flush was broken but the half that did work was very difficult to operate. One of the shelves in the fridge door was broken and missing, there was dust in the bathtub and the kitchen needed a much better clean. Despite the wonderful view we would not have booked had more details been made available on the site.

We appreciate you raising the points about the steps, parking, cleaning, fridge shelf and toilet flush. The apartment is in a hillside coastal building, which is part of what gives it such a special outlook, but we understand that the access may not suit every guest. We will review the listing wording to make the steps and parking situation clearer for future guests. We also take your comments about cleaning and maintenance seriously. We have followed up with our cleaning team to ensure the kitchen, bathroom and general presentation are brought back to the standard guests should expect. I am sorry you felt communication dropped after you raised concerns. That was not our intention, and we will make sure future messages are followed through properly. Thank you again for your feedback. It helps us improve the apartment and make sure future guests have an amazing experience.
