Town: Crosthwaite is a small village set in the picturesque Lyth Valley, famous for its damson trees, and boasts a lovely pub known nationally for its excellent food. The lakeside towns of Windermere and Bowness are nearby, with plenty of activities, interest and entertainment for all ages. Also within easy reach is the popular market town of Kendal, an historic Lakeland town with a fine reputation for shopping. Kendal nestles on the banks of the River Kent. Its old cobbled lanes and byways branch off the attractive main street, and the stone ruins of 12th century Kendal Castle sit perched on a hill with views over the town. Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its superb Topiary Garden, are nearby, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking, offering thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morecambe Bay.

We had a fantastic stay. The cottage is set in lovely grounds and on the outside is very pleasing on the eye. The grounds proved ideal for walking our little dog. Inside we were delighted to find plenty of room to relax in and take it easy, all amenities were ideal for our stay. The views from the house are amazing. The location proved ideal as we were able to visit various places on a daily basis. All in all we loved it
Lovely property in a great location.
Well equipped and even had a slow cooker. In the kitchen cupboard space was limited.
Disappointed that we shared the grounds with another property. As we had less freedom for our dog than at home. The other property had 2 dogs in 1 of which was in season. So not able to open the door and let mine out human escort and lead needed every time.
I would recommend this property as it is lovely.
