We really enjoyed our stay. The property was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and furnished. It is in a very peaceful location but only a few minutes drive to the shops etc in Aberlour.
The rooms are roomy and nicely decorated, beautiful large kitchen, separate dining room and living room. A thoughtful welcome basket. Lovely, warm fireplace. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner. Some laundry supplies (we bought some laundry detergent.). Lovely views. Short 5-10 min walk (with hill) to town and grocery store. Great trails nearby and beautiful 1/2 hour hike to Lynn Falls and Aberlour distillery. Highly recommend.
We found everything as described.
The check-in went smoothly, the location is great and the hosts responded to questions immediately.
It‘s a lovely house from which you can explore the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the wonderfully peaceful tranquillity
A big THANK YOU to Eilidh and Jim
This was a lovely property, very clean and nicely laid out. A short walk from the centre of Aberlour it was a great base for local walks, shopping and sightseeing. Check in and communication were excellent. Would definitely recommend!
This house was such a blessing on our three days in Speyside! It was close to beautiful hikes, lots of distilleries, scenic drives, and small town shopping. The house was so cozy and had all the amenities needed, plus a lovely welcome gift of Prosecco, chips and chocolate. Such a nice touch and great hospitality.
This house is lovely, clean and comfortable and one of the best I’ve seen with a more town based VRBO. 2 full baths, very comfortable beds, wonderful kitchen and lounge room and a feeling of being in the countryside but close to town. Host was very responsive to communications. Weather did get the better of us so unfortunately we had to cut our trip short as the roads were becoming very icy. The people in Aberlour were very friendly and this is a house to return to.
The house is spectacular: Super clean, super spacious, nice furnishings and a huge kitchen that is fully equipped. The living room is very comfy also has a fire place, the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and very comfortable each with windows with nice views. The outside patio is lovely and we enjoyed many evenings outside by the picnic table, amazing views all around the house. There is a farm with many sheet withing 3 minutes walking distance from the house, it was so cute to watch the baby sheet playing, they were even chasing a bird. When a car passed by the sheet were also trying to race the car, it was so funny. My daughters went on a hike nearby up a big hill and they really enjoyed it.The Host was amazing at welcoming us and ensuring they were available to promptly communicate with us.The location is very close to town where there are several hotels and restaurants and a grocery store. Most restaurants closes at 10PM so if you are driving in late, ensure to eat before you arrive past 10PM.We would definitely stay at this property again, hands down!PS: Bring your own soap for showering and buy paper towel because the one we were provided was almost empty. These are very minor details that were easily resolved the next day when we went to the nearby store.
Amazing property, location and overall experience in a beautiful part of the country. Never appreciated how many distilleries were in the area.
Cullen is well worth a visit.
Lovely home in the middle of Speyside area. Lovely area to relax, walk about and spend time in the local village. The home had everything we needed. Very comfortable with King beds made up with warm bedding, large bathrooms with great water pressure, roomy kitchen with extra supplies, comfortable living areas and large yard. The host was kind leaving a welcome basket and fresh flowers. If we could revisit we would!
House was extra roomy for 3 adults. Very clean and we all had a great time. We had only one small problem on our last day where there was no hot water in the morning we departed. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!
Very well presented property with a communicative host. Very relaxed stay with no issues. Property is on the edge of town, very peaceful and relaxed, slight uphill walk but not an issue.
House has a flight of steps to the front door and steps around to the back, not an issue for us but might impact those with mobility impairments.
We stayed 3 nights and had no issues or concerns, property could probably use a decent coffee machine and a sound system like Sonos to make it even better but for 3 days it was great.
I cannot say enough good things about our stay. The whole house was wonderful, the kitchen the sitting room and the dining room were great for the six of us. The bedrooms were a good size not cramped like some I have stayed in. The garden was ideal to sit out and enjoy the morning sunshine, not that we had much of that while we were there! The only thing that might put people off is the fact that it is up some steps so may not be good for disabled.
During our road trip through Scotland we needed a central place to stay for a few nights while exploring Speyside distilleries and the Forres Highland Games.
This home was more than perfect, with plenty of room for five adults and one baby. Everyone in our group had the best sleep they’d had through the whole trip in comfortable beds, Eilidh also provided a crib for our baby. The common rooms are very spacious, we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden and watching some British game shows in the evening. The home was clean, Eilidh responded quickly to all our needs and check in / check out was easy! Book it, it’s a gem!
Everything about our stay was perfect. The check in was seamless as instructions were given the day before and there was a nice welcome book with all the info needed. The house itself was spotless and very nicely decorated with ample towels etc available. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need to cook for a family. The beds were lovely and comfortable, amazing shower in the master bedroom too. Nice and quiet with a well maintained garden for the kids. Location wise it was perfect for us - visiting family about 10 minutes away and in the town just down the road there's a co-op and other little shops.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely look at staying again when we next visit. The host had great communication and we loved the little extra touch of milk in the fridge, fresh flowers and other little snacks after a very long drive from down south.
Everything was exactly as described online. The house was clean well stocked and easy to relax I . Kitchen had all needed items even proper scotch glasses. Highly recommend
