Bedroom 3: Bunk (3ft) Beds. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot. . Lawned, enclosed, front garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (Sheep country). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are steep, unprotected drops in the grounds.. This delightful cottage situated in a spectacular location with open views in every direction. Wallthwaite Cottage is full of character with a cosy wood burner and beams The property has just been through a full property renovation in 2022 taking it into the 20th century. There are breath-taking views of Blencathra from the cottage and a variety of footpaths from the doorstep enabling you to enjoy the stunning scenery and peace that surrounds the property. Cyclists will enjoy the quiet country lanes and golfers will find Keswick Golf Course 1½ miles away.
The popular bustling market town of Keswick with an abundance of interesting shops, eateries and a good leisure centre is 4½ miles. Stretch your legs along the edge of Derwentwater or through Borrowdale Valley and pick up the Keswick launch to cruise back again.
Towards the south, Ullswater and Thirlmere are a short drive away and both connect via passes and spectacular scenery to the South Lakes.
