Listing was very accurate. All amenities were provided. Pool was cleaned every day. Was even provided American coffee and filters for the pot by Isa our contact. Views of the Devil’s bridge from the property. Convenient to shopping, eating, and all amenities.
A perfect place to stay with several families. We spent most time at the pool which was perfect. The village just 5 minutes walking downhill provide a few restaurants, bakery and groceries. It’s an old house with its charme.
Dario, manager was prompt & answered our questions promptly. He gave infor for a chef & wine tour. Isa,who met us at the property, gave us a Villa tour & her number to reach her. She also cooked for us 2 nights. Absolutely wonderful and a superb Chef. Sophie, her helper was a delight. They taught us some Italian!.it was too cool for the pool, but a great addition to a lovely property. We never expected the Villa to be updated (that's the ambiance of Italy) BUT we did expect that the amenities would be more comfortable. Out of the 5 bedrooms, only 3 were really for adults. So, since I was the one that booked the Villa, my husband and I took the twin room, which was not a problem at all, we retired for the evening & took the spread off of the beds & discovered that they were COTS. They were so uncomfortable we decided to try the other room with the twin beds that were clearly children beds (low to the ground and narrower) the mattress was better but once again they were made like cots & I could not move without making loud squeaky noise. We never really slept a full night. Kitchen was extremely well equipped and plenty of room at the dinning room all eight of us. The couch and chairs were beyond there years of being comfortable. We had great hot water but there were no shower curtains & since the stall was very small the floor got a lot of water. It would have been nice for VRBO to let us know that no bath soap, shampoo or TP is provided by this property. The location was awesome
10 personer. Mega meget plads. Virkelig venlig og hjælpsom kontaktperson, Isa. Gode handlemuligheder i gåafstand. Poolen blev rengjort hver morgen af Mario. Og man kan holde øje med børnene i poolen fra overdækket frontparti af huset.
Very large characterful house perched on a hill above a small town near Bagni di Lucca (the house is actually in Fornoli about 10 - 15 mins drive away). Nice places for coffee and breakfast in Fornoli but restaurant choice limited to one local pizza place. Nice pool on site. Well equipped house in it's own grounds with lots of car park space.
We were a group of 9 adults and 1 child and had an amazing stay here. The house is stunning, with gorgeous views. We were very lucky with the weather and the pool was so nice and refreshing. Kitchen was well kitted out, all the bedrooms were spacious with a bathroom (note one is not an en suite). Plus lots of extra space rooms in the cellar and downstairs - it was a huge property! Isa was on hand throughout for any issues and messaged a week in advance to check about arrival times etc. The town itself was lovely - great cafes, restaurants and supermarket, plus train station is a short walk away (can get to Lucca, Pisa etc)Useful to know that because it’s an old Italian house, it does use old Italian plug sockets - but you can get these at the local coop (5 min walk away). Make sure you bring/ wear bug spray because there are lots about as it’s in the hills. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it!
