A true gem on the Tuscan hills, set just a few minutes from Volterra in the province of Pisa, is this perfectly restored stone farmhouse with large garden and swimming pool in a panoramic position. Ideal as a holiday house for the whole family or with friends.
The accessibility from the main road is easy.

Enjoy peace and beauty of the countryside without being remote.

The farmhouse measures approximately 256 sqm on two levels; on the ground floor there is the main house consisting of a large kitchen, dining room, sitting room with fireplace, bathroom with shower, spacious laundry and storage room, master bedroom with walk-in closet and a study. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and independent entrance. Two also have access from a lovely porch, the other one has access from the garden and has a private terrace.

The wonderful garden of 6,000 sqm surrounding the farmhouse is embellished with cypresses, pine trees, one hundred olive trees and a beautiful 10x5 mt swimming pool. The pool is open from May 1st till September 30th.

The location of this delightful farmhouse is particularly strategic, allowing you to reach, in less than an hour, the International Airport of Pisa, the sea of Castiglioncello and Siena. San Gimignano is 30 km and Florence and its international airport 70 km. The city of Volterra, with its vibrant ancient town full of history and charm, is only 3 km away.

Charming and gorgeous view! If you are staying in the summer, make sure to ask how the air works! Downstairs is comfortable, upstairs gets very warm.

We had a nice time and enjoyed the property. The pool was great. The A/C was only in three of the four bedrooms and not in the common areas. We made due without much of an issue but I wish that would have been more clear in the listing.

The property was amazing! It was more beautiful in person than the photos that were online. The location & amenities were great. Close to Volterra and restaurants, but still in country that was quiet and serene. The kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies abd was perfect for staying in and cooking at the villa. We enjoyed the pool & the covered patio every day! The views from the pool & covered patio were breathtaking. The villa floor plan was great w/ en-suite baths in 3 of the bedrooms, it worked perfect for our large family. Communication with the host Guilia was great, she was very responsive and met all of our expectations. We look forward to coming back here for our next stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa. It was relaxing and comfortable and well stocked. Gullia did an amazing job giving suggestions of places to go and things to do. We wish the pool would have been heated bc the weather was chilly during our stay but everything else was perfect.

Wonderful Villa

We loved the villa and the location. We couldn’t have asked for a better view giving us a wonderful feeling of Tuscany. The closeness to Volterra, coupled with the great supermarket and lovely pizzerias made it special. Guilia was very responsive and helpful at all times. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Amazing property

We stayed at the property for 5 days. It is a very impressive house that is even better than the photo's! Only a 5 minute drive to Volterra town! We had a fantastic, relaxing stay and loved every minute of it! Giulia is the property host and could not be more helpful with local knowledge, restaurant recommendations etc and get's back to your questions straight away!

Great place to explore Tuscany

Villa was located in a central location near Volterra to explore various Tuscan cities within an hour to hour and a half. The villa also had everything that we needed for a week long stay where we could cook and relax. Communication with Vincent and Guilia was excellent. They helped and accommodated us at every turn. Couldn’t ask for more exceptional hosts! All in all, a very nice experience at the villa with wonderful amenities and even better hosts.

July 2023 summer family holiday

Beautiful property and amazing pool, yard and view. We loved the location and Volterra, which was less crowded than some of the other towns, and a great escape from the heat. Not as central if you are planning on spending a lot of time exploring in southern Tuscany, but easy to do a day trip through Chianti and another to Siena. Owner was very responsive. Wifi connection is not great, but I think that is true for the whole area.

Perfect Tuscan getaway

We selected Villa Rivoltino Di Sopra because of the location, facilities and setting. All of these exceeded our expectations. In addition Giulia the property manager made our stay even better. Highlights were the proximity to the captivating town of Volterra, the hospitality of the nearby trattoria Prato d’Era, being able to get to Siena, San Gimignano, Chianti, Montalcino and so many other places so easily. The house, the pool, the outdoor barbecue, the brilliant kitchen and the grounds of the villa were perfect. The wildlife (deer, ferrets and hedgehogs to name a few) were also unexpected. Giulia and Vincent could not have done more to make this 4 week holiday unforgettable

A Tuscan Villa Break

Our group of two families had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Tuscan area of Volterra. The Villa is set in stunning countryside with wonderful views of the rolling hills. The property is about 5 minutes drive from Volterra town with supermarket amenities and plenty of interesting spaces to explore. The villa itself was perfect for our needs; it had a well appointed kitchen and spacious inside dining area. The wonderful pool was in constant use! We had a small technical difficulty with the property during our stay, but the host team were very responsive and were excellent in their communication. It was a great holiday and the children are planning their return already!

Fantastic stay in Volterra!

We had an excellent vacation at Vincent's property in Volterra! Giulia met us at the villa, even when we arrived very late due to airport issues. She gave us a tour of the home and was there to alleviate any issues we had throughout our 2-week stay. The property is gorgeous, with sweeping views of Tuscany and a lovely pool area that we spent many days lounging by. The villa is a 10-minute drive to Volterra, which is a quaint and beautiful town with good restaurants and shops. In addition, the air conditioning in the bedrooms was a nice touch. The villa is beautifully decorated and furnished, which made us able to appreciate the Tuscan countryside that we were staying in. Overall, our experience at this villa in Volterra was phenomenal, and we miss it already!

Last minute villa change

We did not stay at this villa. Two days before our arrival I received a call saying they had to cancel our stay because there was a gas leak. We were rebooked in another villa which was absolutely beautiful and offered the same amenities including a private pool. The new villa was about 30 minutes to the west and up a long, rough gravel road which was a bit of an inconvenient location. Overall we were very happy. The ratings are for the Villa we stayed at (Villa Casacce)

Fabulous Location with Stunning Views!

We were blown away by the lovely views over the Tuscan hills from the fabulous pool area. The house is beautifully decorated and very well equipped with new and modern appliances. We wanted a few relaxing days in a busy schedule and it was a perfect place. To have lovely Volterra on our doorstep made the location extra special. Not only for the historical and architectural highlights but the restaurants, bars, boutiques and shops. No ensuite and air con for the master bedroom was a shame. Minor improvements could be made to make the experience a true 5*. An extra toilet roll/bin bags. The Information Book could have more detail Ie. how to turn on and off the outdoor lights (to stop attracting the bugs - couldn’t open the door to living area after dark), the pool lights, walks in the area, local recommendations, maybe pool cleaned once during our stay (we’d have loved a net to rescue the bugs), BBQ clean. We tried to dry out the cushions by the pool but as the seating area was never in the sun we couldn’t use it. In our increasingly cashless society it was an inconvenience to arrive with €600 deposit. A toaster would be good. As I said, minor improvements and already we are missing Rivoltino Di Sopra, wish we’d booked longer and where we made some lovely family memories.

Tuscan dream location and property

We were two adult couples sharing this beautiful Tuscan farmhouse that has been updated to provide every comfort needed to enjoy this amazing place. We did have two issues however. First, we received an email 3 days before our stay began saying we needed to provide a large cash damage deposit when checking in. This violates VRBO policy that any damage deposit must be disclosed before booking. The VRBO policy specifies three options hosts may request for damage deposits, and a cash deposit is not one of them. We were very uneasy being in this situation. First with the deposit not being part of VRBO booking, we felt vulnerable should there be any dispute over any amount withheld after our stay. Coming up with an unexpected large amount of cash on short notice was an inconvenience. We then had to contend with having a large amount of cash in Euros after our stay - the day before we were returning home to the U.S. Since no receipt was offered, we also insisted on an acknowledgment for the cash deposit, which ended up being written on a piece of scrap paper we were able to find. Secondly, only one key and gate opener is provided. The remote for the gate is required to walk or drive out of the property. With sleeping accommodations for up to 8 people, imagine trying to coordinate multiple vehicles coming and going for different day activities with only one gate opener. Overall, it is a wonderful property and we did pass our concerns on these issues to the person who

Thank you for your feedback on the villa. We appreciate this. Regarding the mobile phone reception, we are located in the Tuscan countryside where the reception of the mobile phone can be less then expected. This is not something we can change. As described on the website, we have only WIFI inside the house. Most guests enjoy the pool and the beauty of the view without the need of WIFI. The quality of the WIFI in the house is good as we have many guest spending their workation at our villa.
