The property is lovely, clean and well decorated and has everything you need. The only issue we had was with the next door neighbours gate banging which caused our dog to keep barking as she thought someone was at the door.
Excellent property, decorated to a very high standard.
Booking in was easy and straight forward even if we did have to pester Anne for directions when my sat nav couldn't cope.
We fully intend to stay there again next time we're visiting relatives
We very much enjoyed our stay and the cottage is ideally placed for us to visit family in Blyth and explore the surrounding areas. The cottage is very well equipped and has been done up to a very high standard. Thank you Anne, we look forward to visiting again.

Thank you Tracy It was a pleasure to host you and I really appreciate how clean and tidy you left the cottage. I’d love to have you back anytime. Take care.
My Sisters and I had a lovely stay at this 3 bedroom cottage, the cottage had everything you needed and it was so spotless and very comfortable and cosy in the evening's. Anne our host left us a lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated.
A lovely light and airy retreat ideal for exploring all that Northumberland has to offer. Lots of room for us as a family of 4. The cottage has pretty much everything we needed and tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and a bottle of wine was a nice touch. Anne was super fast with all communications.

Thanks Helen. I’m pleased you enjoyed your stay and enjoyed everything Northumberland has to offer. We’d love to welcome you back anytime.
Can’t fault the cottage, everything was perfect! Anne had thought of everything. Great base for exploring Northumberland, Blyth beach is 15min walk away, perfect for the dogs! We will definitely rebook if we come to Northumberland again.
we initially had difficulty in finding the property but sat nav eventually got us there. the property was very clean , had all amenities you could want and the beds were very comfortable. we enjoyed our stay and had excellent communications with the property owner, Anne.
The cottage blew us away anne had thought of everything we absolutely loved our stay cottage was fantastic. Loved South beach and local pubs for meals (South Beach pub and the three horseshoes )nearby neighbour's were really welcoming we will be back 😀 thank you.
Lovely house, everything you needed was there. Great base for exploring the area. There was work being done on a new station but it didn’t influence our sleep or anything. Son was very excited about the trains passing by. Beach a short drive away or a walk. Great chip shop/ cafe and shop at the beachfront nearby. Host very helpful, we would recommend to friends. Beautiful decor, plenty of space and great for a family stay.
The cottage lovely and is just what you need as a home from home. It is very clean and warm. My family enjoyed our time here.
The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and crockery and the dining room especially has beautiful lighting. At the moment the area outside the cottage is anything but restful with major renovations well underway to the railway.
Parking is mentioned on the website, but the dirt track leading to it is very narrow and full of potholes. However, we were able to park on the road outside the cottages.

I'm so pleased you found the cottage to your liking and that you and your family were comfortable there. The works to bring the Northumberland Line back into use are at a peak now which understandably causes some disruption in the area however I do believe that there is minimal noise disturbance from the works. These works will be complete by Spring 2025. In relation to the condition of the rear lane - this is to be re-laid as part of the rail project when the contractors remove the brick wall and widen the lane to create parking for other residents of Railway Cottages; those who don't own private parking space at the top of the lane. It would be foolish for residents to spend money on relaying the lane when the Rail project is going to deal with it but Im sorry this impacted on your stay. I'd love to welcome you back when its all complete.
We have just come back from a lovely stay at this cottage. Anne, the host (and her daughter) could not have been more helpful and so easy to communicate with. Thanks for the help with the TV! The photos do not do the property justice. It is immaculate and very homely and had everything we needed and despite being by a road, a railway line and a new housing development being built, once inside we didn't hear a thing! So peaceful. Our dog loved it - she dashed in every evening to chill out! The enclosed garden is perfect for those with a dog. Our dog was a bit too old to manage the walk to the beach but it is only a short drive away. Also recommend the Commissioners Quay a 10 mins drive away for a very dog friendly place to eat. This made a very good base for getting around the area and into Northumberland. We made it up to Berwick upon Tweed with ease. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property.
Great location really nice cottage great tips left about the area and where to eat and shop
The property was great loved the location plenty of walking areas for my dog near the train station so a quick commute into Newcastle plenty of places to shop near the beach we had a great time at this property I would happily recommend booking here a big thank you to Anne
