Vast, Italian charm, clean, great location and easy check in and communication! Our group of 4 couples only gripe was that two of the bedrooms on one side of the property had a lot of street noise at all hours of the night and even with windows shut it was loud but nothing some earplugs couldn’t fix! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The listing of this property on VRBO does not give the property the justice that is deserves. We were a group of 8 adults traveling Italy and we found this historic gem, in the middle of Florence, to be amazing! There were no issues working with the property host in advance of our trip, and the greeter who met us on the day of our arrival was extremely helpful. Staying in this property only complimented our experience while we visited the historic city of Florence!
Property was very well located and very large. It is a beautiful and classic apartment in a nice neighborhood with a great cafe 100 feet from the front door and very good restaurant occupying part of the first floor of the building. Most of the major museums and attractions were within walking distance.
The managers were responsive and helped after we left when one of our group thought she may have left her wallet there. They actually looked for it.
I would recommend this property to any group of 8 like ours.
We stayed at the apartment for 13 nights.
The apartment is well located near restaurants and within a fifteen minute walk to the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio and five minutes walk from taxi stand in the Piazza Santa Croce.
There is a good restaurant at the bottom floor of the apartment building. The Wi-Fi was good. The Air Conditioning was adequate. Luckily we only had a few really hot days during our visit where we needed additional fans. With good weather the apartment was great with big windows open letting fresh air in. The full kitchen and dining room was great, We were able to cook our own meals when we wanted to.
Family wedding in Italy. Stayed here for 2 nights. The check-in was stressful, 7 people waiting for an email from owner in the street. Didnt' receive the email in time. Actually began looking for hotels. Finally received a call and everything turned out great. Did not enjoy the stressful time wondering if we had a place to sleep!! other than that, wonderful location, friendly owner and very clean!

Select with care
Overall, we found the property to be satisfactory or better, but with some disappointments and inadequacies. It is located within walking distance (for fit individuals) of most attractions and many restaurants. Photos portray it as newer and brighter than it is (a somewhat similar property in Rome helped us realize how this one could benefit from major renovations without impacting its character). Two of four bedrooms are exposed to major street noise until very late at night, required ear-buds and music get to sleep. It is one of very few 4-bedroom properties, is interesting for its antiquity, but not a great value today, nor should it be described as "luxury accommodation". If four bedrooms are needed then this, with its shortcomings, will suffice but if you're expecting a luxury old-world experience you may be disappointed.

Not impressed
The size was nice but that’s about it. First the price on VRBO was not the “total price,”about a week before leaving a request came for a second payment for the same amount. This doubled the rate. When asked they said it was not accurate on VRBO. We called VRBO and they said the location was legit but couldn’t help with the price. We were a week from leaving and had no time to find another place for six people.
The place was beautiful about 20 years ago but seems to have not been touched since then. Furniture and bathrooms are dated, curtain was broken hanging down in one of the bedrooms. It needs a good cleaning. Don’t look at the baseboards. Also bring ear plugs, street noise is so loud you will have trouble sleeping until 11pm-12am when it finally quiets down.
Location in the city was good and again the size was nice; that’s about it.
We won’t stay here again.

Dear Skip,
I am very impressed with your review. We have asked support to remove it as it makes untrue claims. The price on VRBO is the rental price you pay. No additional fees, so much so that VRBO has confirmed the price is correct. It is shown in your dashboard and authorized. We don't handle the payments, VRBO handles them.
I always advise to be careful before booking and look carefully at all the correct prices.
We always hope that our guests have wonderful memories and we are sorry that in this case it is not.
I hope to host you again in Italy and make you change your mind.
Thank you
See you soon
