Virgilio is a splendid penthouse that will win you over with its incredible view of Florence and the large terrace. It is located in the heart of Florence between the Santa Croce and Sant'Ambrogio districts, within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions of the city. The apartment is located on the sixth floor with lift of an elegant building, you will only have a few steps to walk after exiting the lift. The elegant and refined furnishings will win you over. Entering the apartment you will find a large and bright living room which leads to a secret bathroom, a kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and everything needed for cooking, a double bedroom with private bathroom, and a single bedroom with a breathtaking view of Florence. In the other wing of the apartment you will find a second fully equipped eat-in kitchen, a very large double bedroom with a view and a large private bathroom with a large shower. The house is completed with a wonderful terrace with an incredible view of Florence where you can spend your evenings.

Wow. This place has amazing views from the spacious balcony. Sitting on the patio overlooking the city from the house with a highlight of our visit to Florence. The only hard part was getting into the apartment with our midsize luggage

Italian getaway

This was a very nice property. The location was perfect and close to everything we wanted to see. The balcony was a nice surprise! There was just three of us on this trip but had plenty of space to bring more of our family. The A/C units worked nicely considering it was hot. We would rent this unit again.

This apartment was a perfect location for us in Florence. It is very centrally located to many of the historic sites and the view of the Duomo from the rooftop deck is stunning! We had plenty of room for our party of seven with the 3 bedrooms and 2 sofa beds. Having an elevator to the 3rd floor was extremely helpful with an elderly parent who has mobility issues. The only challenge/issue we had was that I don’t feel that the overview of the apartment made it clear that you still have to climb a flight of stairs once you get off the elevator to get to the apartment in the 4th floor. With an elderly parent with mobility difficulties it did make it more challenging for her to get to and from the apartment but we made it work. I just suggested that the host make it more explicit in their overview of the apartment that you still have to walk up an entire flight of stairs to get to the apartment after getting off the elevator. The host was extremely helpful and responsive whenever I sent a message asking questions or seeking clarification. I highly recommend this apartment for those looking for a comfortable place to stay in the heart of Florence.

Wonderful place

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view was wonderful. We only used a bus a few times (to and from the airport and Fiesole). Walked everywhere from here. Kitchen has enough to make some basic pasta meals and eggs for breakfast. Wonderful bakery on the same block and plenty of cafes for morning espresso. Kids loved the deck and the balcony overlooking the street below. Highly recommend. Very good trip with a wonderful place to go for rest between outings around the city.
