Redwood Lodge which sits nestled in the shade of a giant redwood tree. The cabin sits in the grounds of our home, Redwood House and will be all yours for your entire stay.
WHAT ARE WE NEAR? The cabin is well located for local attractions including wedding venue - Rivervale Barn (5 mins), Horseshoe Lake, Go-Ape Bracknell, Lapland UK, Nirvana Spa and Legoland. We are also near the Royal Military Academy, Wellington College and close to Bracknell, Wokingham, Ascot, Aldershot and Windsor.
TELL ME ABOUT THE CABIN The entire cabin has been newly refurbished and is very quiet. It sleeps a max. of 4 people (1 double bed and 1 sofa bed in the lounge). There is 1 bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, mirror and a hairdryer.
The main living area has a comfortable seating area with a 32 inch smart TV (access to Netflix/YouTube, iPlayer etc.), kitchen and dining area. There is also a shoe rack and coat stand.
There are no cooking facilities but the kitchen area has a microwave, full sized fridge, kettle and toaster as well as a cafetière, tea pot, cutlery, dishes and cups, etc . During your stay we will supply you with complimentary tea, coffee and sugar and fresh milk.
Off the main living area is a bathroom with a shower, wash basin and toilet. We supply hand-wash and body wash, as well as bath and hand towels.
The cabin is situated within the grounds of our home, Redwood House. You will be able to park right outside the cabin. We have ample off-road parking.
WE WELCOME GUIDE DOGS Although pets are not allowed, we welcome guide dogs
The entire cabin is level and has double doors at the entrance which makes it suitable for anyone with mobility issues (though note that internally we don't have adjustments, e.g. all doors are standard width and we don't have adjustments inside the bathroom).
HOW ABOUT EATING? There is an array of shops (5 min walk) including a local Tesco and Co-Op, a Greggs bakery, fish and chips shop and various takeaways and restaurants (an excellent Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant and pizza takeaway.
LEISURE ACTIVITIES If you are a keen cyclist we have access to some great roads and off-road cycling. There are also some lovely walks in the woods nearby and the Horseshoe Lake watersports centre where you can go wild swimming or kayaking. There is also a fishing lake and horse riding within a 5 minute drive as well as acres of ancient forests to ramble and explore.
ROAD AND TRAIN CONNECTIONS We are a 2 minute walk to Sandhurst station - connections to London via Reading (20 mins), Wokingham (15 mins) and Guildford (25 mins). Heathrow is also just 30-35 minutes away.
