Loverly Stay at The Cart House

The Cart House is a loverly barn conversion type holiday home. The views from the back patio are blissful, we even saw deer wandering through the fields. Well located for trips to Winchester, Southampton and Portsmouth. The only downsides were the car noise from the road taht runs past the property and the stylish, but uncomfortably soft sofas in the lounge.

Early spring break

The house was beautiful, spotlessly clean and well equipped. My young daughter loved the chest of toys and games. Great location, easy to find and only a short drive to Winchester and Marwell Zoo. Would certainly revisit if in the area again.

Stunning property

There was absolutely nothing negative about this stunning property. Everything you can think of was provided by the hosts from a lovely welcome hamper to garden seating in a very spacious patio garden area. We were very lucky with the weather & so spent a lot of time sitting in the sun. If the weather hadn't been so good plenty of games were provided.Even though some of us were relatively local it was still an area with much to enjoy. Wickham nearby is a bustling village with independent & antique shops. A visit to Chesapeake Mill is a must.

Lovely cottage, we had a great stay

Super cottage, stocked with everything you could possibly need, very comfortable, beautifully decorated. Lovely view. Ample parking and pretty garden. Village close by, is excellent for shops etc. Location is ideal for Portsmouth, Southampton and the Downs. Had a really great holiday, thank you!

Lovely Week

What a great stay, full of character! Hosts have thought of everything, the little details make all the difference; books for children, decaf teabags to name just a couple! Beautiful location, easy to get to many local attractions and peaceful enough just to relax in! Will definitely be returning!!

Well thought out guest information booklet with everything you needed to know about the property. Underfloor heating welcome especially as it was cold, frosty and snowy during the stay. Lovely stay, beautiful accommodation

A lovely place to stay. Everything we needed was available, including lots of little extras that you don’t always see. You could tell lots of care had been taken when creating it as a holiday let. Plenty of local food and drink options, and a local shop only a couple of minutes away. The owners were very helpful. Check in and out was easy. Would recommend, and will definitely book again.

Jonathan and Vanessa opened The Cart House in late 2022 following a year renovating the property. When they first saw the property, they realised that they had found somewhere that would make an amazing holiday retreat in a prime location for exploring Hampshire. With experience of growing up in the sector and years of renting holiday properties all over the world, they knew exactly how they wanted to finish The Cart House, finishing it to a high standard but still feeling like it was a home from home and of course with a few tech gadgets.
