Ryedale House is an exclusive, private development in the heart of York's historic core beside the River Foss. The building benefits from secure allocated parking and an onsite concierge. Waterside Retreat sits on the 6th floor.

Waterside Retreat is an absolute treat. Once you step inside this luxury 2 bedroom apartment you wont want to leave.

The sumptuous sofa in the living area provides the perfect place for everyone to sit together, either for an evening of movies in front of the flat screen smart TV, or just the chance to catch up. The kitchen is complete with everything that you will need, fitted with Neff Appliances, Dualit toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. Once you have prepared your meal you can sit and enjoy it at the glamorous dining area with a table that comfortably sits everyone.

There are two bedrooms with Kingsize beds, perfect for climbing into after an evening out, either in one of the many great eateries in and around York, or even an evening at the Theatre.

Both bedrooms have fabulous en suite bathrooms, complete with underfloor heating, where you can prepare yourself for another day of exploring the historic City of York. With so many of the attractions only minutes walk from this luxury apartment you don't have far to go to become totally immersed in this glorious City. Even for a day out at The Races you are only a short drive away.

If arriving by car you have a dedicated, onsite parking space in a secure car park. If you are arriving by train you are a only a 7 minute taxi ride away. Either way, you have a luxury apartment waiting for you - an absolute treat!

3 night stay with my wife and son

We were all very impressed with the accommodation. It was extremely clean and beautifully appointed. Very spacious and comfortable. The reception service was first class and very helpful. It was a short walk into the town centre. There was secure parking for the car. Overall a great place to spend a few days in York. Peter.

Our 55th Anniversary

Great weekend. Clean, comfortable and well equipped apartment. Super entrance hall to the building. A couple of minor maintenance issues in the bathroom already informed the office. One was the Xpelair which may have been turned off by the cleaner as experienced in other places. Would recommend this company wholeheartedly. Try ASK Italian for the ambiance and the food is good too. Betty’s in the evening is an experience. Enjoy.

Fantastic, comfortable apartment a five minute walk to the city centre and close to all the main attractions in York. The apartment is really cosy and has everything you may need for a break away, especially the comfy beds. The fact that the property comes with a secure parking space was a huge plus. The staff in the main foyer were also really friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back.

Excellent stay

Apartment is well located near the centre. Very tastefully decorated with excellent facilities. Very clean and excellent view. Only ask is that the modular sofa needs bolting together as uncomfortable as keeps separating. Parking space is a welcomed bonus.

Excellent accommodation in a great location

The apartment was extremely comfortable with luxury furnishings and super comfy beds. It had everything and more for a great city break. Shops and attractions are only minutes away. Everything was cleaned and maintained to a high level and the smell from the high end diffusers greeted you perfectly as you entered the building. Great value for money would highly recommend this apartment.

Beautiful apartment

With 3 adults and one baby it was a perfect place to stay in York. Close to the centre, quiet and comfortable. The apartment had everything one needed for a short stay. Beds were incredibly comfortable, bathrooms (1 with bath) were perfect for 2 couples or family. With the secure car park I certainly would recommend Waterside Resort for your visit to York.

Fabulous apartment close to centre

Loved the apartment, very comfortable, clean and all the mod cons Close to restaurants and Shambles. No issues with checking and service was great, good response time when we encountered an issue (someone parked in our allocated space). Highly recommend!

Nice place but we called two times on the toilets not clean and giving off a smell. Also we bosted the water but had cold showers

An excellent choice

Location wise Ryedale House is at excellent location, just 5 min to the centre of the town. The apartment Waterside is beautiful and well equipped. The apartment is what you seen in photos. It also provides a car park space which is important to us. If you would like to have a short stay in York, Waterside is by all means an excellent choice, and I certainly would recommend.

A weekend away with friends

This was the second time my wife and I have stayed in this property, the first time was with family and this time with friends. After the first experience it was very easy to recommend the property to friends knowing that they would enjoy what we’d enjoyed on our first visit. I can honestly say that when we visit York again either with family or friends we will hopefully be stopping in this property far a third time.

Brilliant stay in York

This is our second break in the Riverside accommodation and the standards have remained very high. The beds were very comfy and the facilities within the flat was excellent and everything was thought of. Very handy to have the washing machine and dishwasher, although we ate out most days. The facilities were excelllent and the lift to the 6th floor was very useful and clean. Thanks for another wonderful stay. We will be back soon!

Perfect apartment but noisy neighbour.

Waterside Retreat was absolutely beautiful and clean. We said we could live there if we could. The only problem was on our second day the people who were staying next door slammed their door every time they left the apartment. This spoiled our break as said apartment wasn't owned by Stays York. It would start at 7.30 every morning till roughly 9.30 at night. Sometimes they were in and out 3 or 4 times in 10 mind. But all in all it was a lovely apartment and well looked after. The little touches around it was a nice touch.

A lovely apartment near centre of york

A lovely decorated apartment, short walk from centre of york. immaculately clean except for sheet on mattress had a blood stain on it and another stain { obviously not checked by company who clean them, or checked by company who change bedding }. Chest of drawers in master bedroom had been missed a dusting. Small white head hairs on it. Such a shame, as the rest of apartment immaculate clean. Secure parking place,and secure entrance. Most apartments are owned by the residents,nice and quiet,and asked to respect peoples homes in the building. A bit expensive for 2 people,but a nice treat. Would book again

Gorgeous apartment

Absolutely gorgeous apartment felt we was living in real luxury it is on the expensive side but it’s nice to treat yourself, It works out cheaper if four of us stayed but otherwise wouldn’t go if it was just two .Back to the apartment it was spotless you could not fault anything we had a nice view of York it’s right in a prime location for everything. The apartment was elegant the decor was absolutely gorgeous it also smelt Devine everything was tastefully done , Also it was so comfortable the beds was super comfy would definitely go back again .Just one slight fault I think it needs a tele in the second room just to have it there would have been ideal . The lady on the main reception she was amazing so friendly and approachable we would have been slightly stuck if she wasn’t there getting the keys to get in firstly . Honestly the lady deserves all the stars for her hospitality she’s amazing , had our little chats each day she was lovely so nice to be greeted by her each time we went in or out on the main reception so thank you to her she’s doing an amazing job , it’s all part of the stay that makes it worthwhile.

Two day break

The apartment was beautiful, lovely entrance. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Needs a towel hook in toilet off the kitchen, immaculately clean. Only a 3-5 minute walk to city centre. We would not hesitate to stay again.
