Our Homosassa home away from home.

We arrived our country cottage to a warm greating by Donna and Larry and were taken into our spotlessly clean cottage that was cozy and had everything that we needed. The bedroom had a comfortable queen bed, dresser and nearby closet with our private Lanai off the bedroom. The location is private and safe, but not that far from Cyrstal Springs or Rainbow Springs. If you have a kayak bring it, you wont regret it. Homosassa is a marine area so don't expect a lot of beaches. However Fort Island beach is 20 minutes away and Fred Howard Beach is about an hour away. Donna and Larry are very kind, helpful people who are great at sharing local information. Thanks Donna and Larry, We definitely recommend your Country Cottage for those looking for more than just a beach Vacation.

Could not have asked for a better experience

I grew up about 30 minutes away from this property in Dunnellon and I can honestly say that this is one of the best and most affordable places I have seen. This house is perfect for a couple who are just planning to go explore and have a good time. The owners were absolutely fantastic and I could not have been more pleased.

Fantastic Transition!

I rented Donna and Larry’s cottage when I accepted a position at one of the many local golf courses. I have had the most excellent experience staying with them as I searched for a home to purchase. They gave the “skinny” on what and where the locals do and where the tourist traps are. They really helped me with my Nautr.e Coast newbie experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this as a destination stay. It’s close to everything. It’s very well appointed. It’s quiet and tranquil. If your moving here, or staying for the winter, this is the place.

Just What I Needed

I stayed here for a few months when I did clinical rotations in the area. It was always great to come back after a long day to a quiet, cozy place. The inside is really pleasant and has all the amenities one may need. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Donna and Larry are extremely kind, accommodating, and caring. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who comes for scalloping, rotations, or to explore west Florida.

Quaint cottage in quiet setting close to shopping and attractions.

Stayed at this property during Feb. and March 2017. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. Heat pump provides both heating and cooling as required and was much appreciated.The setting was quiet and pleasing with lots of shade trees. A private lanai can be accessed by a door off the bedroom and we enjoyed this very much. Larry and Donna were very accommodating and friendly. The cottage is close to shopping and attractions and a short drive to major attractions. A beautiful quiet beach can be found on the Gulf about 20 minutes away. Enjoyed our stay very much!
