We are please to welcome Dobbin our new family holiday let. Dobbin is a converted horse box set in the grounds of a stunning Manor house on the edge of Cockermouth surrounded by stunning uninterrupted views of the Lake District , the house was once the summer residence of the Earl of Carlisle and dates back to 1840, we are currently renovating the house back to its former glory .

Dobbin sleeps 4 consisting of two double beds, there is also an option for an extra toddler bed and if needed we can also supply a travel cot for younger children, just let us know at the point of booking . There is a stunning sitting room with log burner, USB charging points , designer fabric Roman blinds, large comfy leather sofa , smart TV and French doors which open up onto to a private balcony with views of the Lake District .

You will find all you need for a great self catering holiday , fully equipped kitchen with gas hob and microwave oven , small fridge with freezer box, kettle, toaster , hot and cold running water. The bathroom is fully tiled with hot and cold running water , large shower, mains toilet and fluffy coordinating towels.

Dobbin is fully equipped for the colder weather, great for all year round get always.

Outside you have a private garden with stunning views , Garden furniture , BBQ, log burn and pizza oven and hammock . We are happy for extended family to erect their own tent in the private garden. There is a children’s play area just outside the horse box with toys, slide, sandpit etc.

Please note** There are steps up to the horsebox door and a step ladder to access the top bunk.

Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

We provide a free welcome drinks pack consisting of tea, coffee, milk and orange juice.


House Rules:
- Check-in time is 3:00pm and check-out is 11:00am .
- Smoking is not allowed inside but you are ok to smoke in the garden
- Free parking on the premises.
- Pets are allowed at the property.
