Park Mill Farm cottages are situated in a magical riverside setting, less than a mile from Chulmleigh centre, with 20 acres of lush fields, woods and parkland where you are free to roam along with the abundant wildlife. From the viewing area on top of the hill with a bench, to the river and lakeside areas, there is plenty to explore.

Chulmleigh is a Saxon hilltop village made up of thatched cottages, traditional pubs and a small collection of independent shops. There is a children’s play park and dining options consist of three pubs in the town, a cosmopolitan restaurant and an Indian restaurant/takeaway.

Chulmleigh town centre is now a conservation area and the rich grassland found here is home to the largest population of otters in any natural area in England. The area provides access to an abundance of leisure activities including walking, cycling, fishing, golf and horse riding along with several historic houses and gardens in the vicinity.

Guests can enjoy the best of coast and country with Dartmoor and Exmoor nearby, as well as the North Devon coast in one direction and the cathedral city of Exeter in the other, all within an hour’s drive.

Sauna and Cold plunge. A complimentary 45-minute Sauna and cold plunge session is included in your stay. Relax in the Sauna brave the cold plunge or combine the two for an exhilarating experience.

Fishing at Park Mill Farm - "This is an accommodating little river in a lovely Devon valley where time does seem to stand still." Mike Weaver, Trout And Salmon magazine, Feb. 2009.

There are two rivers (The Little Dart and Huntacott) meandering through the grounds and a private fishing lake where guests can enjoy free fly and coarse fishing and catch carp, rudd, chub, roach, brown trout and tench. There is also complimentary fishing on both rivers where brown trout, sea trout and salmon can be caught together with coarse fish.

The Smithy can be booked together with Cider Barn (BCPMCIDE), Old Dairy (BCPMDAIR) and Park Mill Farm Cottage (BCPMFARM) to accommodate up to 18 guests.

10/10 Excellent

A beautiful cottage in a peaceful location.

A beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. Very well equipped kitchen with everything you would need. Many thoughtful items left for us, cream teas, milk, butter and yummy biscuits. Good sized bedrooms with very large (queen sized?) beds. Shower gel, shampoo, hand wash and moisturiser provided, nice ones. There is underfloor heating not mentioned on website. No phone signal but decent WiFi allowing WiFi calling. One parking space in safe off road location. Only thing we couldn't find was a hairdryer.
