You’ll find Protea Cottage set in the grounds of Protea House, just a 10-minute stroll away from Torquay’s seafront. With spacious rooms and a classic, welcoming décor throughout, Protea Cottage is perfect for that South Devon break.

With a classic appearance and original features such as the fireplace, the living room makes it all too easy to while away an hour or two with your feet up in between adventures. Period furniture gives the room a nostalgic character, and the bookcase means bookworms will have plenty of opportunity to wind down with a book during their stay.

The master bedroom upstairs enjoys open views out to sea, so it’s a peaceful spot to forget the rest of the world after a long day enjoying the nearby beach. The twin bedroom downstairs includes little touches such as a spacious en-suite bathroom complete with a large corner bath, and this gives it an elegant feel that’s in keeping with the rest of the house.

Torquay’s home to some of South Devon’s best-loved attractions, and many of them are within walking distance from this home from home. Living Coasts, Torre Abbey Sands and the Princess Theatre are all within easy reach of Protea Cottage, and a little further afield you’ll find Kents Cavern, Babbacombe Model Village and Bygones.
