About this property
Charming Waterfront Summer Cottage on Bay of Quinte (*NEW DOCKS*)
This summer waterfront cottage is perfect for small families, couples or groups looking for deck and dock-lounging, with killer sunsets.

**NEW PADDLE BOARDS option (waivers required).**
**5-NIGHT MIN in July/August only. Reach out for shorter stays off-peak season.**
The cottage is located on Big Island, facing north on the Bay of Quinte, with a longish, rolling property, 20 minutes from Picton, 30 minutes from Sandbanks and virtually everything else the county has to offer.
Enjoy beaching, wineries and artisanal ‘stuff’ by day, and board games, waterfront fires and sunsets certain to jack up your Instagram-cred by night.
This is a 2-bedroom (1 queen/2 twins), 1 bath (standing shower only) with a pullout couch in the living room to sleep 4 comfortably and 6 cozily.
WiFi, wood-stove if it gets cold, TV with DVD player (incl. early 2000s DVD collection), stereo with smartphone hook-up, and board game selection.
Kitchen comes stocked with vintage dishware to complement the vintage avocado cupboards. Standard appliances (incl. microwave, but no dishwasher or washer/dryer). BBQ on deck.
Linens, towels and basic sundries (TP, Kleenex, paper towels, dish/hand soap) provided.
Adventurous swimmers will be happy here (i.e., okay with rock shore, underwater weeds etc.). If you want sand and crystal clear water, you will prefer swimming at Sandbanks 30 minutes away.
The Bay of Quinte is a fisher’s paradise, so if that’s your thing, you’ve come to the right place. Baycrest Lodge and Marina is a 2-minute drive down the road if you want to launch and/or dock a boat during your stay.
Tap water is safe and drinkable.
Friendly neighbours on either side. Be sure to say hello during your [minimum] 5-day stay!

The cottage is very comfortable for 4 people, well stocked. The outdoor features were excellent, the deck, the dock and the yard. I will miss the sound of the waves.Great place to relax during the summer.
You may want to prominently mention the air conditioning. Maybe not a concern for our week, but it would have been a concern if booking in July.Everything was great!
The most peaceful and relaxing property. Very well stocked with a really fun assortment of vintage decor but with everything you would need. Huge deck overlooking the water, the perfect spot for Happy Hour.
Lovely cottage in a quiet area. Well stocked cottage. We brought a few small fans. We always enjoy Picton and the beach at Sandbanks provincial park. The owner was really good to respond to our inquiries.
Weather was cool during our fall stay so we really appreciated the nice, warm duvets for sleeping. Great water view. Lovely deck, dock and screened in porch. Would love to stay again during summer to take advantage of the water activities.
The cottage was very welcoming right down to a dog leash in the event we needed it! Cozy living space with a beautiful deck with a view of the Bay of Quinte. We also loved relaxing on the enclosed front porch.
Perfect stay at The Summer Cottage on Bay of Quinte
We had a perfect stay! Loved the peacefulness of the area. The dock was beautiful for sunsets and a swim. The owner was so accommodating and easy to reach with any questions we had.
We will definitely be back.
A wonderful classic cottage in PEC. Had all the amenities that you'd want at a cottage. Reasonably close to Picton - great spot to enjoy the water and summer weather and explore the county.
It was so very lovely! We enjoyed our stay; the beds were great, the lake was nice and cool and the fireplace provided a lovely evening . We saw much wildlife, including foxes, bunnies , and birds! We highly recommend it, perfect for a family getaway.

Thank you for the generous review, Robert. Glad the fox calls didn't alarm you the same way they alarmed me :-D Please come again.
Clean cottage with everythi g needed for a great getaway!
We enjoyed this lovely cottage on the bay! Cottage was exactly as described, the host was very helpful and responsive and we enjoyed the setting and the paddleboards. It was just the right size for our small group and easy for my elderly mom to get around. Highly recommended!
Charming cottage had everything we needed. Property is beautiful with a gentle slope down to the water. And so much to see and do in Prince Edward County! Friendly people, great restaurants and beautiful wineries!
Cute, comfortable cottage on Quinte Bay. Screened porch was perfect for morning coffee! Beautiful sunsets. 9 miles from Picton. Will definitely book again!
Great stay in cute Demorestville. Really great waterfront for pups and humans (although bring water shoes :)). Awesome new deck as well. Close to Picton (20 min drive) but far enough away you still feel like your in the middle of the country.
Great, well maintained cottage on a quiet road on the Big Island. Easily accessible to all the PEC has to offer. The front covered porch is so useful if you happen to get rainy weather as we did. We loved the big, well maintained backyard and sunsets. Highly recommend.
The cottage was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The yard was big with a lovely view. The homeowner was very personable and helpful. Overall, everything was great! Thank you!
Amazing stay, kids had lots of space to play on the property. Very quiet and peaceful views of the bay and the sun. Nice to have a floating deck to rest away from shore. Water isn’t very clear but there are other spots in the region to see different kind of beaches. Phil was great host, checking in on a regular basis making sure we were all set. Merci!
