About this property
Centrally heated 5 star cosy traditionally built Shepherds Hut w/ en suite WC.
With self check in and check out and situated in the owners’ 2 acre grounds overlooking the Sussex Countryside with an orchard just a step away for guests use, this stunning new Shepherds Hut built in the best available traditional materials is perfect for a relaxing break. The property is accessed via its own external oak open tread stairs. The hut has fast fibre, Wifi and internet TV. There are Rolls Royce style starlights over the bed, a stained glass window with private curtains to separate the bed from the rest of the hut and a flame effect electric wood burner to add to the cosy feeling. Hob, microwave, fridge, hot and cold running water, shower and a fully plumbed in WC all add to the convenience of modern living but still with the feeling of being away from it all. The hut is in the far corner of the owners' grounds, conveniently set back from the A28. There are many country walks directly from the hut, several fine pubs are within a 5 - 15 minute drive, beaches are around a 20 minute drive away and many interesting sites nearby including National Trust and English Heritage . Around 20 minutes to Battle, with its famous battlefield and abbey, built to commemorate the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Relive one of the most famous days in history, and join the 1066 walk. Take a trip on the Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway from Tenterden, also known as ’The Jewel of the Weald’, through the Rother Levels to Bodiam, one of the most evocative moated castles (National Trust), built in 1385. Discover the one time coastal smuggling town of Hastings and medieval Cinque Port town of Rye just 8 miles away with its cobbled streets. Picturesque sand dunes and interesting wildlife can be explored at Camber Sands around 30 minutes away.
