Family vacation - 3 generations

The interior and exterior were as advertised and well received by young and old family members for our 3-generation vacation. It had many elements to make this enjoyable for all. We hope to return someday.

Beautiful location

The house was pretty much as advertised. The location was lovely and right by the lake. Some of the games and amenities were not where we expected them to be (in a closet and the garage), but that wasn’t a big deal for our group. We were really there for the lake and on that the house delivered in spades! We had a great time.

Relaxing Weekend

This was the perfect home to have a relaxing weekend at the lake house. The kayaks provided and dock to fish off of were perfect. The house had so many great additional amenities - pool, darts, etc. We all had a great time and Frank was very responsive to questions and very accommodating. We would love to come back and visit!

Mom & Sister's girls weekend

This is our 3rd or 4th time staying in this property. We love it however, feel it could use a little TLC. Shower in basement broke, refridgerator leaking, just need general updates. It is a lovely home though.

Beautiful house! Awesome host

Plenty of room for 15 of us, ranging from 3 to 70. Kids loved the boats! The yard was huge! We played volleyball, baseball, the kids loved the playground! Frank, the owner, was so quick to respond to questions, even met us early one morning to give us some passes for the pool! We will definitly be back!

Beautiful lake house

This was our second time at Frank's house. We all love going to Treasure Lake. There was 8 of us ranging from one year to 82 years old. We all had plenty of space. Our favorite thing to do was go out on the kayaks. The lake is beautiful. Thank you.

Lower cost option for Treasure Lake

For the money I was pleased with the large house, plenty of space and location was great. Bedrooms, living, room, play areas were great and dining room had a big table for lots of people. Check-in was fine, just a bit hard to open the lockbox; nothing big. Only issues: Oven was very dirty, served it's purpose, but dirty. As well, outside grill was VERY dirty and didn't work; so ended up not using it. Wasn't as luxury as indicated in the kitchen area.

Family getaway

Very nice property, well equipped and able to accommodate large groups. We were 14 adults and 2 children. there were three double beds and 7 single beds available. The remainder could sleep on pull-out couches. The beds were comfortable - even though the king size matrass squeaked like none I ever heard before when sitting on the side :-) We could easily park 7 vehicles without using the garage (which had a table tennis inside) which was nice. We also appreciated the abundance of life jackets (warning you will be ticketed if you do not have a life jacket with you on any floating device - including canoe, kayak or tube - and in addition you need a whistle if you pull any of those). The 4 toilets and three bathrooms were appreciated although the fact that one shower was not operational meant careful planning for all to use the one general and one on suite bathroom. Because of good weather we barely used the inside entertainment but it will be useful when needed. All in all a wonderful stay and we would love to return.

No Towels Provided / Poor Communication

Booked this house last minute due to a death in the family - needed something quick with room for multiple family members. We had family that traveled from several different states - no one was local. After traveling / taking care of funeral arrangements the last thing we would have thought we would have to deal with was a rental with no towels provided, no laundry supplies or starter shower supplies. We had to go purchase towels for the family to use after a very long day in a snow storm. Yes it is stated in the description under activities where you would not really look for such a basic requirement. Owner was slow / not responsive to several items - such as us letting him know there were items in the refrigerator. Would not recommend unless you are local and can bring your own towels. Who stays at a lake house that can sleep 16 people & plans to pack towels. Roads in neighborhood were not taken care of very well in the winter weather.Only 1 key provided for house - need to update to a keyless entry so that multiple people can access the property if they aren't all together. Some updated information including snow removal and heat information in the welcome book would be helpful.

Loaded Large Lakeside House

To begin, Frank was very accomodating about answering all my questions. He always responded quickly. There were 11 of us in this house and we had plenty of room to spread out. The neighborhood is quiet and deer wandered thru everyday. The AC worked great and the beds were very comfortable. We used the kayaks everyday and the yard was great....playground, corn hole, chairs, grill. We set up volleyball. The kitchen was stocked well with a ton of silverware, plates and glasses. The cookware was plentiful, even having a blender, crockpots, 2 toasters and 2 coffee pots. The kitchen in the finished basement was great because we needed that extra fridge. We used the pool table and foos ball every night. A few things I did notice: the water is very hot!!! much hotter than ours at home so becareful! And with 11 of us it seemed to never run out. There are no towels and a bare minimum of starter supplies but we brought everything we needed. The lighting at the stove is kind of dim. I thought the house in general could have been a little cleaner, really needs a deep cleaning. The kitchen cabinets looked dirty and all the knobs were loose. The glass sliders were full of finger prints and some hair in the bathroom. Frank made me aware that we could only use New Providence beach and only on Mon-Thurs due to new regulations. We stayed Fri-Tues and Monday we went to the beach and it was closed. A person there had told us E coli caused it.Great place but many new rules.

Was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. The windowsills inside and outside was very dirty. Cobwebs hanging from kitchen ceiling. Black marks on kitchen ceiling looked like the remains of someone killing flys. Kitchen cabinets were dirty. The cabinet that holds the garbage can had food and dirt in the bottom of cabinet. Provided utensils were greasy. Had to be sure and wash everything before use. Carpet all stained and wrinkled. Stools in kitchen all stained. Sofa in basement stained. 2 plastic white plastic lounge chairs provided for use outside of basement patio both were so dirty they looked almost gray. One was broken and could not be used. Patio was clutter with children swimming googles and other items. Water bottles found in one of the bedrooms under bed. Front porch needs to be swept and webs and dead bugs cleaned away. The house definitely needs a very good cleaning and updating. The only good thing about the stay was how quiet it was. We will go back to treasure lake next year but will definitely select a different house to stay at.

Our overall impression of the property was very good. We were expecting a "Luxury" home. The house itself was magnificent with plenty of room for the nine of us (5 adults & 4 children ages 6-17). Many of the amenities were well used and needed to be updated (ex: some game room items unusable or in poor condition; poor to no water pressure in some areas if multiple utilities were being used at same time; water temperature was difficult to regulate [extremely hot w/shower control in master bedroom] & basement shower had hole in floor that was taped over). The area itself was very beautiful with deer freely roaming. We were disappointed that the lake was totally drained, even though we were told, but mistakenly believed there was water to use in close proximity of the house without driving several miles. The host was gracious to transport kayaks for use to nearby Bimini Lake, but we had to be escorted & checked in to be able to use lake, and would have to pay to use beach or main pool (KOA pool was free). Although we had to drive several miles for any off property activities, we found time to draw closer as a family and enjoy sitting out at night with fireplace, watching the stars, cooking out, watching movies, and just relaxing. When the lake is filled and the private dock can be used again, and some updates and repairs made to the house, this property would be a 5 Star "Luxury" rating.
