Easy Walk To Rehoboth And Dewey Beaches! Beachside of Route 1

THIS PROPERTY IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR RENTAL!

As featured in "Delaware Today", this adorable, uncomplicated house is located in Dodd's Addition, nestled between Rehoboth and Dewey, just east of Rte 1. (The Forgotten Mile!) It's a great neighborhood with wonderful, friendly neighbors. It is exactly a half mile walk to the sand, around the lake and through a shady, peaceful neighborhood. We provide a "beach wagon" to pull your gear.
With a newer kitchen, beautiful hardwood floors, and a delightful detached screened porch, you're sure to enjoy your time here. The back yard is entirely fenced in, as well.
The wide open floor plan has 2 bedrooms up, (one bedroom has a full sized bed, the other has two twins) one bedroom down with a queen sized bed. Each bedroom has a "Jack and Jill" connected bath. The upstairs bath has a tub/shower, while the downstairs has a shower. The roomy outdoor shower is a favorite.
The kitchen has an electric cooktop/oven, dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator with water and ice dispenser, disposal, and full sized washer and dryer. There is also a toaster oven, electric griddle, and drip coffeemaker. For those cookouts, we have a charcoal grill in the back yard.
We provide beach chairs, and a pull-wagon also.
*This is not a "PARTY" house. It is in a quiet, family oriented neighborhood, and is the only rental on the block. If your plans are to let loose with a large group, loud music, and 6 cars, please look elsewhere. *
Please note, as yet, the staircase is not carpeted, which may be a consideration for some, especially small children.
The driveway will accommodate 2 cars, plus there is free street parking, though VERY limited.
We keep a supply of cleaning and dishwashing supplies, toilet paper and paper towels, as well as basic spices and condiments.

PLEASE NOTE! YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS AND TOWELS!
We do NOT provide bath soap or shampoo.

Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance-It is recommended that guests purchase "cancel for any reason" trip cancellation/interruption insurance in case of family emergencies/bad weather delays, flight/rental car cancellations, job loss, Covid-19 bans/restrictions, etc. If you cannot make your trip, and the cancellation window has lapsed, you can seek reimbursement through your travel insurance. Easy location for enjoying the beach at Rehoboth

Staying at this property made it very easy to enjoy our stay in Rehoboth. The 15 min walk to the beach was made easy thanks to the wagon and chairs provided, and rinsing off in the outdoor shower after a long day was a dream. The layout is also ideal for a small group to cook a meal, eat together, and play games outside in the screened in porch. We all had a great time staying here!

Lovely home for a family stay at the beach

This house was perfect for our family of 4 vacation to the beach. We have two younger children- age 5 and 7 and both LOVED staying here. The screened in hangout room in the backyard was one of their favorite places to play. The location was great as well, it is in a cute and quiet area, and was a quick 10-15 minute walk to the beach. The house comes well appointed with chairs and a beach wagon to haul all of your gear. We would stay here again and would highly recommend it!

Perfect Trip!

We had a wonderful stay at John and Murph’s place. The space was clean, and had everything you would need. The screened in space in the backyard and outdoor shower were also wonderful. It was an easy walk to the beach through a beautiful neighborhood. We also noticed the beach was much less crowded than other areas, which was an additional perk! We live full time in Baltimore, and summered across the street for 20 years, so we love the area. When the owner offered to sell this house to us, we took the plunge. It has taken a lot of sweat and work to get it this far, and we readily admit that we have a ways to go yet, and will continue to make it a place that you would want to return to.

Why they chose this property

The entire Rehoboth/Dewey Beach area is a wonderful way to dial it back, take a breath, and relax. The beautiful beaches, the small geographic footprint of the area, and the wonderful dining and shopping opportunities await you.
This is a sweet little house. It doesn't have miles of Italian marble, crystal chandeliers,
and 500 square foot closets. It does have a homey, simple, comfortable vibe, with extra amenities that guests expect.
We have worked very hard to make it a place you'd love to return too, as many guests have done. (By "we", I mean the two of us- and whew! We've learned a lot! ) We hope that our love for the house shows, and that you would look forward to visiting, and returning.

What makes this property unique

Because we are so close to the beach, and on the east/beach side of Route 1, the location is wonderful. When Summer traffic is bad, you needn't fool with Route 1.
