About this property
Luxury 4 bed detached villa, minimum 3 bathrooms, large open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area.
In November 2020, Together Travel had the opportunity to participate in BBC 2's 'Interior Design Masters' at one of our most popular locations; Trewhiddle Village.
Villa 5 was one of two of our spacious villas that were chosen for the Grand Final, experiencing an exceptional makeover by the finalists, subject to the expert eye of an esteemed judging panel.
The brief provided to the talented designer Lynsey Ford, was to adapt Villa 5's cosy and contemporary interior to better utilise its large, open-plan layout. Spaces such as the entrance hall, landing and living area were suggested, where there was the potential to offer additional relaxation points for all ages.
Chic and sophisticated, the ground floor refurbishment of Villa 5 features a gorgeous palette of deep inky grey-blues, pops of bright, burnt oranges and delicate touches of gold throughout, resulting in a soothing yet stylish ambience. The existing open-plan layout has been reimagined with an intriguing, semi-opaque room divider, allowing the occupants of the living space a little more privacy from the buzz of the fully-equipped kitchen. Whilst the rich colours and indulgent soft-furnishings may initially whisk guests away to dreams of distant, mystical shores, there are a wealth of inherently British pieces featured throughout the villa.
Heading upstairs, the once sparse landing area has been converted into a vintage dressing area, with stunning walnut-effect dressing table, floral mannequin and trinkets galore. This newly revitalised space leads to two king-size, en-suite bedrooms, each presenting their own unique, boutique style; yet still the perfect setting for peaceful dreaming. The cool, contemporary bathrooms offer powerful, rainfall showers and deep bubbly tubs for washing away the adventures of the day.
Downstairs, the remaining double and 3/4 bedrooms on the ground floor have also undergone a stylish makeover, with on-trend geometric prints and soft, Egyptian cotton linens for a peaceful nights sleep.
The villas themselves include access to over 120 acres of beautiful woodland valley, children's communal playground and gorgeous meadows, which you are welcome to explore at your leisure during your stay. In terms of location, Trewhiddle proves the perfect blend of peaceful countryside living and incredible coastal adventures.
With the breath-taking beaches of Porthpean and Pentewan less than 5 minutes' drive away, guests here can find themselves sea-side in no time, paddling in the famously gentle waters of South Cornwall, tucking into an indulgently creamy Cornish ice-cream and generally taking in the warming rays of sunshine. Pentewan in particular is easily accessible from our spacious villas, with a bike/walking trail leading directly to the beach through beautiful woodland, 2 minutes from our entrance.
For young explorers (or those young at heart!) the iconic tourist attractions of the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are both less than 15 minutes' drive from the stunning wooded valley of Trewhiddle. Here you can find world-famous botanical wonders, with an incredible calendar of events to occupy even the most un-outdoorsy family members!
Providing the perfect base camp to explore South Cornwall, Trewhiddle is just a few miles from the quaint fishing villages of Mevagissey, Charlestown and Fowey where you can stock up on mouth-watering self-catering treats, tuck into freshly-caught fish and chips and browse the quaint boutiques that line the cobbled streets.
