Situated within the stunning Peak District National Park, Elliott Cottage offers a luxurious escape. Part of the award-winning Wheeldon Trees retreat, this idyllic country cottage has been recognised as one of the top 10% of places to stay worldwide on TripAdvisor.
Inside you’ll discover open-plan living with underfloor heating, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a cosy living area with smart TV and Alexa, perfect for relaxing evenings. The private patio offers breathtaking views of High Wheeldon and Chrome Hill, inviting you to soak up the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
Upstairs, two well-appointed bedrooms provide a peaceful retreat. The flexible sleeping arrangements cater to couples and families alike. Bedroom one can either be a super king or singles and bedroom two is singles. A modern bathroom with a walk-in shower completes the upstairs space.
Our crockery is locally made by Denby, our sheets are Egyptian cotton and our towels are fluffy and white. Toiletries are made for us by local company Peak Soap.
Wheeldon Trees provides total tranquillity. The retreat boasts an array of amenities, including a well-stocked honesty shop filled with treats, Wi-Fi, an office you can use at any time, Voltshare EV charging and electric bikes for exploring the picturesque countryside. We gave up corporate life in 2021 for a more wholesome outdoors adventure. Steve was in housebuilding and Hazel owned a PR and advertising agency. We live just down the road in Ashbourne but are a phone call away if you need us.

What makes this property unique
We’ve tried our best to ensure all you need to do is turn up. From olive oil in the kitchen to luxury toiletries hand-made locally for us, we have tried to think of everything. We love travelling ourselves, so all we have done is try to cover everything we would need. The icing on the cake is that we also sit in 12 acres of National Park with amazing views and offer gorgeous historic chocolate-box cottages.
