Fantastic, relaxing stay for our Silver Wedding Anniversary.
The cottage is peaceful - isolated enough that you feel away from the world, but close enough to the village shop, pub, and routes to other places that you aren't really isolated at all. The cottage is also very well maintained, with everything you could need for a wonderful stay.

The cottage was extremely nice. It was cozy, clean and the perfect size for our 3 night stay on Skye. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were especially appreciated. The check in and check out process was super easy. I also appreciated the excellent WIFI.

Beautiful cottage tucked away in a park-like setting.
Clean and cozy cottage with great walks all around. The castle and grounds are beautiful, we were lucky to enjoy sunny weather. One note for visitors, the bathroom is on the ground floor and the bedrooms are upstairs.

The cottage was cozy, clean and perfect for our stay on the Isle of Skye.
I loved the coziness of the cottage. The check-in process was super easy and the cottage had literally everything. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were appreciated. The small touches were very nice as well (like the hair dryer with diffuser attachment in one of the bedrooms). I also appreciated the excellent WiFi and access to streaming apps on the TV.

fabulous accommodations, beautiful location
We stayed at the Foresters Cottage. It was a quaint little cottage that exceeded our expectations. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the cottage was very clean. We were there in November 2024 and the weather was quite crisp and cold. The cottage was warm and cozy. This was out first stop on a tour of Scotland and it set the standard.

A comfortable and attractive cottage
We enjoyed staying in the cottage and exploring the Castle Museum and paths.
After booking the cottage we found out that Stables was no longer serving dinner. This was very inconvenient since we were coming by ferry on foot, with backpacks and roll-ons, and did not want to have to carry food and drink too un slopes quite daunting at our age (75...85).

A peaceful stay at Foresters cottage in a beautiful location.
So peaceful, just bird song and countryside surrounding a lovely cottage. We had complimentary wine, biscuits, tea, coffee and milk upon arrival, which was nice gesture. The accommodation itself was cosy and warm with everything needed to make us feel at home. As we were out of season, the castle grounds were not open, but this gives us a reason to return again one day to this stunning location on the Isle of Skye. Thank you Armadale castle for a wonderful and unforgettable stay.

Perfect setting. Cute little cottage and the extra touches make it just like home
The cottage has everything you need and the welcome pack was a great little touch. From booking to check out the process was uncomplicated and communication spot on. The cottage is a great base for exploring the Isle and the views along the roads from the cottage are spectacularly stunning. We were even lucky enough to spot the Aurora from garden!
Definitely recommended, because who doesn’t want to stay in the grounds of a castle.

We were very happy with the accomodation at Foresters Cottage
The cottage was clean, well maintained and very homely. We especially liked the little extra things which had been done to make us feel welcome such as putting the lights on for our arrival, and providing us with enough provisions to be able to make a snack and a warm drink as soon as we arrived. Thank you!

Basic but good.
Nice place, absolutely fine base for touring the island. Good facilities, especially kitchen and wifi. The only downside for us was the shower, which was like warm at best and we could t increase this. We could have asked but it wasn’t a big enough deal.

We loved the peace and quiet of the Forester's cottage, which was comfortable and spacious.
We liked having our own place, driveway, spacious children's bedroom, comfortable living room, large kitchen. Complimentary access to Armadale Castle was also nice.
Where is the box for what we didn't like?? You need to ask that question also. So here it is: you need better and more accurate directions to the individual accommodation given there is no one to greet you on arrival. Not only did we have difficulty finding our cottage but also we had to help another family find theirs.
