If you prefer the quieter side of life then Lagos has plenty of history and you can spend many hours exploring the tiny cobbled streets.

## Neighborhood
There are several local cafes and restaurants for you to enjoy traditional Portuguese food and drink and a local bakery on your doorstep. You have a small supermarket within a few minutes’ walk. For those who want to explore further afield there are some beautiful beaches within reasonable walking distance, where you can take in the incredible views of the coast or continue along the cliff tops to Porto de Mos beach and beyond.
Close to Lagos there are a variety of activities and sights which range from waterparks to zoos, through to historic monuments and challenging hiking and biking trails. The Algarve is known as one of Europe’s premier golf destinations, and there are many courses within close proximity to Lagos, the west coast is also very popular for surfing. Whether you are couples travelling together or a family with children, there is something for everyone in Lagos.
## Transit
Buses and trains are not very regular and a (rental) car is recommended. Should you decided not to hire a car there are bus stops close to the apartment that will take you into the town and also link up with the main bus routes throughout the Algarve and Lisbon.

Great location & responsive company
This apartment was great for our family of 4 for a month. We could walk easily to the centro, beaches, and supermarkets. It is extra convenient with the rental company located on the bottom floor of the building.

When we arrived the apartment was very cold. It took two days to make the place warm enough to be reasonably comfortable. The towels that were rolled up on the beds were all still damp.So improving this would be a good start.
