About this property
Tarrant St Cottage with lovely garden
Laura Lye Holiday Lets are offering this lovely period cottage, located on Tarrant St, right in the heart of Arundel. There is a double reception room, family kitchen, cloakroom and bright conservatory/dining room on the ground floor. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms one with en suite shower room and one with a family bathroom. There is a beautiful garden with summer house.
The front door opens into a porch for coats and shoes and then through a doorway into the living area, which has a cosy arrangement of sofas and chairs around the fireplace. There is a second seating area with TV which leads in through double doors into the newly renovated kitchen. The kitchen is warm and welcoming and there is a wonderful range to cook on, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. The kitchen opens into the light and airy dining room/conservatory with seating for up to 6 guests.
There are steps up to a glorious garden. Please be aware that these steps (as well as the stairs to the top floor) are not easy for those with mobility issues and means that this property is not suitable for children under 12. A path leads you amongst the plants up to the summer house, which has romantic swinging chairs on either side of the veranda. This is a perfect place to read and relax.
Upstairs is a spacious bathroom with bath and shower and there are 2 pretty double bedrooms on the first and second floors, with an en suite off the top floor bedroom.
Arundel is a tiny market town and you will not need a car if you are planning a town break – there is plenty to do with the pleasure of visiting Arundel Castle (open May to October), Arundel Cathedral, antique shopping, visiting cafes and local pubs and incredible walks right from your door. If you would like to explore further afield there are beautiful National Trust properties in the area, the beach is just a short drive away and there are many other places of historical interest. For those who enjoy racing Goodwood hosts some of the most prestigious races of the horseracing calendar and is less than 20 minutes drive from town.
Guests should be aware that there is a security camera on the front door for monitoring deliveries etc. There are no cameras elsewhere on the property. This cottage is lived in by the owners for much of the year so you will find a few cupboards etc are not for guest use but it has the warm and personal feel of a much loved home and is a wonderful addition to the Laura Lye Holiday let portfolio of Arundel Cottages. Guests are requested to treat everything with the special respect that they would if staying with a friend! Well behaved dogs are allowed (£27.50 per dog per week) but they are not allowed on furniture, or the beds and they are not allowed to be left alone in the cottage.
Please note 3 nights is the minimum booking period; 4 nights over Goodwood. This property is only usually available June - October.
