We had never been to Northumberland so stayed at The Rose for two weeks to make the most of visiting
We had never been to Northumberland so stayed at The Rose for two weeks to make the most of visiting the area. The first thing that we felt about The Rose was that it was just like home from home.. Just a street very much like our own with parking and walks for our two dogs literally just down the road (to the Viaduct). We did so much despite some rainy days and if we just wanted to stay local the beach was only a short drive away for our dogs to have a brilliant walk. You are spoilt for choice with shopping, castles, stunning beaches places to visit. On our last night we sat up watching the Northern Lights from our bedroom window. One thing to especially note was we just used the one master bedroom and the mattress was a Nectar was just so comfortable! Nice to know the owner cares about their guests comfort and the sleep you get makes a big difference. We didn't spend a lot of time in the garden which was completely safe for our dogs but if their was a down side it is that you are very overlooked by the neighbours kitchen and we might have felt bad in the Summer months spending time out there but that is a very small issue as most of your time is spent out and about. We are definitely going back again as we loved it so much.
