Pen Y Bryn (which translates as 'top of the hill') is a beautiful cottage with fabulous views along the Conwy Valley over the market town of Llanrwst. A two-bedroom, two-bathroom house, The master bedroom is on the ground floor and has an ensuite shower room (shower, WC and wash basin), double bed and doors out to the garden, perfect for that early morning coffee. The second bedroom then houses two twin beds and is found on the first floor.The stunning open-plan kitchen, lounge, and dining room has three picture windows that offer an incredible view of the Welsh countryside. The aga is the heart of the kitchen and the primary means of cooking in the house, as well contributing to the warmth of the home. It, along with the American-style fridge freezer and island unit with integrated dishwasher, provides a warm and inviting atmosphere to the room. The dining area and lounge are spacious and relaxing, as it has a cosy log burner.The whole house is decorated with a carefully curated selection of art. The cottage also benefits from a delightfully understated parlour which doubles as the entrance hall, giving access to the ground floor family bathroom (corner bath, WC and wash basin) and the stairs leading up to a spacious reading room and first-floor twin bedroom.The garden is enclosed, has a level area with decking and gravel, ideal for an evening relaxing in the sun, and a gently sloping lawn which leads your eye to the views beyond the hedge.The facilities at Pen y Bryn include oil-fired aga, which provides the primary cooking facilities, American-style fridge freezer, washing machine (in the utility room), dishwasher, two log burners, oil-fired central heating, TV, DVD player and garden furniture. Bed linen and towels are supplied, and there is off-road parking for up to four cars.NB. Due to the rural location of the cottage, there is no availability to install an internet connection, however, there is a very good 4G mobile signal. There is also no additional cooker other than the Aga.Situated in a peaceful spot in the rolling hills of the Conwy valley just a few miles from the market town Llanrwst and in the other direction, the popular village of Betws y Coed to the south, or Conwy, Llandudno and the beaches of the North coast. An excellent area for walking and wildlife and just a short drive from the beautiful National Trust Bodnant Gardens and the Bodnant food centre. The whole of Snowdonia National Park, the mountains, coastline and all the adventure and activities you could hope for are within easy reach of this relaxing cottage, an ideal base for your next holiday. Llanrwst is a market town and community on the A470 road and the River Conwy, in Conwy County Borough, Wales, and the historic county of Denbighshire. It developed around the wool trade and became known also for the making of harps and clocks.
