If you’re looking for a comfortable stay in the heart of Canterbury for up to five guests, look no further than Saint Peters! This charming two-bedroom Victorian cottage is only 100 metres from the high street, so you’ll be perfectly placed to enjoy the independent eateries and shops on offer. Perfect for families with children, Saint Peters has everything you could need for a self-catering stay in Kent.

The Space:
Saint Peters is a homely and welcoming cottage ideal for families, business travellers and groups of friends.

Upon entering the cottage, you’ll be welcomed into the living area which includes two leather sofas and a 32-inch Smart TV with Sky Cinema and Sky Entertainment. The perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Canterbury, you can retreat here and enjoy a cosy night in. Please note one of the sofas in the lounge is a sofa bed which brings the total occupancy to 5 guests.

Continue past the staircase and you’ll reach the dining area which includes a wooden dining table and six matching chairs. There is a quiet and brightly lit reading corner where you can get lost in a good book during your stay.

The fully equipped kitchen is located at the rear of the cottage. Traditional in style, it features wooden cabinets and monochrome tiles. You’ll be able to prepare home cooked meals easily as the kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and fridge. There is also a washing machine perfect for longer stays!

There is a shower room located on the ground floor with a WC and walk-in shower.

Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find two bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a comfortable king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. Ideal for children and teenagers, the second bedroom has twin single beds. Both bedrooms benefit from plush bedding and premium bed linens so you can have a blissful night's sleep.

Outside you’ll find an enclosed garden with a patio and gravelled area. You can soak up the sun and enjoy your meals alfresco style at one of the two outdoor seating areas.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.

Free on-street parking is available nearby via a virtual parking permit. Details on how to activate the permit will be provided prior to check in.

Please note the stairs which lead up to the first floor can be a bit steep, so we ask guests to extra care when using the stairs.

Saint Peters is located in a residential area within the unique medieval walled city of Canterbury. One of the most famous and culturally significant cities in the UK, there is plenty for you to explore here. Just a few steps away from Canterbury High Street and a short 5-minute walk from Greyfriars and Westgate Gardens, you’ll be perfectly placed to explore the city.

Discover Canterbury Cathedral which is one of the most iconic landmarks in England and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With stunning architecture, intricate stained-glass windows and a rich history, it’s no surprise it has over one million visitors per year!

Getting Around:
You’ll find restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance from Saint Peters, so you’ll be ideally placed to enjoy a staycation in Canterbury.

Canterbury West rail station is a 10-minute walk from the property where there are regular journeys to Margate, Ramsgate, London St Pancras and London Charing Cross. Plus, the journey into London is under 1 hour with Southeastern trains which is handy!

If you’re travelling by coach, the National Express coach stop is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the property.

The nearby towns of Ashford, Broadstairs, Dover and Margate can be reached via car under 45 minutes so Kent can be explored easily. If you fancy heading to the seaside, the beautiful town of Whitstable is a short 20-minute drive away.

If you intend to explore by bus, the nearest bus stop is within walking distance and serves the University of Kent, Whitstable, Herne Bay and Margate.
