Welcome to The Stables, a beautifully presented all ground floor stable conversion ideal for a perfect getaway for families and friends, set in an idyllic rural location within the Cotswolds.

Enjoy a seamless transition between indoor comfort and outdoor living through the bifold doors leading to the sun terrace and hot tub, where you can enjoy the peaceful countryside views and beyond. In the heart of the home an impressive light and airy open plan kitchen/dining and family room, perfect for gatherings with loved ones.

Sleep up to 6 across three bedrooms. The master bedroom with king size bed, and en suite shower room. The second bedroom comprises a good size twin room, and the third bedroom is perfect for younger guests, featuring a set of bunk beds—a fantastic setup for an enjoyable sleepover experience. You’ll find a further large family bathroom with shower, basin and WC.

Guests have full use of the hot tub, ample outdoor space, and terrace with sofa seating at the rear of the stables to enjoy alfresco dining and entertaining. The property itself backs onto an enclosed paddock, which is great for walking, wildlife spotting and connecting with Mother Nature. It’s truly stunning!

The Stables is situated within the Cotswolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and sits equidistant between Cheltenham and Stow on the Wold, both approximately 20 minutes drive away. The regency spa town of Cheltenham hosts an abundance of independent and much loved High Street shops, and incredible dining experiences from street food to Michelin starred fine dining, a must visit in this area.

The property benefits from air conditioning in the living area and twin room, with a mix of underfloor heating and electric heaters throughout the remainder of the property. With off-road parking for two vehicles, it’s a fantastic home from home to stay and unwind with children, grandparents and those of any age!

Beautiful location, very large peaceful garden with lovely scenery. Accommodation was perfect for us, the kids loved the bunk beds, we had the en-suite room which was lovely. Very clean and well appointed property. Kitchen has everything you need but no microwavewashing machine. We were blessed with lovely weather so enjoyed using the outside areas too, hot tub was gorgeous, and easy to use. We enjoyed lots of garden games with the kids and eating outside! Location is very remote, which suited us for a peaceful holiday off the grid. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful family holiday here.

We’ve just got home from our stay at Lilac Cottage, and already want to go back!

The space was perfect and we felt right at home. The location is great with loads of friendly animals nearby. Hosts were great, clear communication and loads of nice little touches. (Like a chocolate cake on arrival!) Hot tub was fabulous, and we barely got out of it. We had the weather on our side but would be perfect in winter too. Thank you so much for our perfect weekend away. We cannot wait to return.

Great place to enjoy the hot tubventure out for walks.

The property is located in a very quiet village with a couple of countries pubs about 7/8 minutes drive away. It’s well located to visit the beautiful countryside for hikesvisit villages like Bourton on the water. There is no TVdining room table so there is a lack of comfortable seating for more than 3 people if you wish to eat dinner in the property.

Very nice and comfortable beautiful location

Wonderfull location, beautiful surroundings. Hous is very comfortable and light. I was surprised to find only 2 very small frying pans, to accommodate up 4-6 people that is problematic, likewise for the utencils. The folding door(left part) is hard to open, might need some adjustments, toiletrol holder in the largest bathroom is loose. Indoor seating is also limited (understandably).

I recently went to stay at the stables lilac cottage - it was for my 30th birthday so I took a few girlfriends for the weekend. It was set in the most peaceful, beautiful and tranquil setting. Easy to find and a lovely scenery in the drive leading up to it. The stables was SO beautiful, decorated to a modern touch, lots of space to socialise, and was in impeccable condition from the moment we arrived. The outside space is flawless, sitting in the hot tub with a glass of fizz being able to look at all the land surrounding with the sun shining down was just amazing. The hosts were so helpful with the process of checking in. Very clear instructions for checking out too. It was a home from home. They even left me a chocolate cake to enjoy on arrival! I would FULLY recommend this getaway to anyone who is looking for a wholesome weekend. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay! X

Back from a wonderful week at the stables, lilac cottage.

The cottage itself is beautiful with an amazingly huge garden where we spent many an evening playing hide and seek with the kids. ☺️ We were very lucky with the weather and made the most of it with many days out. Highly recommend bourton on the water and Bibury both some of the most stunning places we have been with lots of Cotswold charm. Everything from start to finish from instructions to access the property to amenities within were fantastic. Thankyou very much we would definitely return. Kelly. X

Comfortable accommodation but non-existent welcome

The location, the comfort of the beds, the calm The reception: we were not told how to pick up the keys and there was no one there on arrival. No one responded to our messageour calls. We had to go into the garden afraid of being in violation. We found the keys left in the key box which was not locked.

The property overall was perfect for our stay, 2 adults and 1 baby. - Outdoor seating is great, just need to be lucky enough to collaborate with the good dry weather - The facilities, fridge, appliances, hot tub, outdoor seating all excellent quality items made the stay feel more premium - Location was quiet, peaceful, very nice - Check in and out was very simple - Would very much recommend the property to a small family or couples The property may have been empty / unused for some time as there were a lot of cobwebs when we arrived. - Under Sofa in living / kitchen - Above kitchen beams (to be expected as it is a barn style accommodation) - In corner of main bath shower room floor - Under main bedroom double bed The cleaning was fine in general, just a lot of cobwebs unfortunately. - Provide an Iron and Board? May be use full for some.

So we stayed here as we love the Cotswold vibe, this was giving just that.

Not too far away from Burton on the water and the slaughters but a car is a must No phone signal at all but decent enough wifi. Hot tub was lovely in the evenings but we had the jets turned off to listen to the wildlife and at our suprised on our last night we were inches away from rumergin hedge hog. Beautiful views of the Cotswold village - lounge/kitchen area was small - lots of beds in the bedrooms but no real space to chill other than on a little sofa area. Bathrooms were amazing though and have these infrared heated mirrors - nice touch. The heating throughout the property is decent with underfloor heating right through.On our last night we used the hot tub for around 3 hours - the smell of woodfires from the locals sweeping through the Cotswolds. The bed in the main bedroom is really not great though, I’m 6ft4 and 18st and it felt like it was going to break every turn. No TV - as listed.

Wij verbleven met een gezin van 4 voor 5 nachten om de Cotswolds te ontdekken. Deze accommodatie was daarvoor perfect geschikt. Mooi centraal gelegen, super smaakvol ingericht, smetteloos schoon, erg comfortabele en goede bedden en 2 heerlijke douches. Van bedlinnen tot handdoeken, alles van een hoge kwaliteit. Zeker aan te bevelen voor een heerlijk rustig verblijf en een ervaring geheel in stijl met de omgeving.
