Glad you enjoyed the easy walk for town life. Also, having your car parked off-street next to your Garden unit made your trips to ‘Sconset for the wedding party easier. Welcome back on another occasion.
Really enjoy our visit to Nantucket and especially to this very quaint and well appointed in-town property. Very convenient to all walkable areas. Host was very welcoming.
Historic bed and breakfast run by very knowledgeable and gracious inn keepers. Bed was very comfortable. Beautiful yard in a great in town location. Generous healthy breakfast. We would love to come back!

Joseph, his wife and their Shih Tzu dog were a pleasure to have as guests. They explored Nantucket, which they know well, with enthusiasm and keen intelligence. Good company. Impeccably neat. Their dog was quiet, well-instructed and never barked. Always welcome.

Happy you enjoyed the private and quiet garden. Many birds...Nantucket is a major migration route North and South.
Glad to know Kristen enjoyed the attention to service and comfort that a small lodging can offer. Her dog was quiet and well trained. Impeccably neat. Always welcome.
29 India was exactly what we needed. A clean, comfortable place to stay with our own garden to enjoy. Even though we shared the garden with other guests, we hardly saw any one except the owner/manager. Close to town yet on a quiet street. We would love to return again someday soon.

Amy and Tom, glad you found the right place for your vacation and to celebrate your Anniversary…comfortable, clean, and quiet in the historic center. Happy also that you enjoyed the garden as an oasis any time of the day. See you again.
We loved our stay at 29 India House! Forrest was wonderful from before we got there up until we left. We loved the private entrance, the private courtyard and the daily breakfast was the perfect way to start our day! The location was great and within blocks of shopping, dining and busses to the beach. The property was exactly as advertised and we will stay there again next time we visit!
The Garden room was perfect for our family! It was comfortable, nicely decorated and we had everything we needed! The location was walking distance to the ferry, shops and restaurants. It was so relaxing to sit out in the garden to rest up for our next activity.
Forrest and Guiseppe were friendly and helpful hosts. We look forward to staying here again! Thank you!

First visit to the Island. Forrester was very helpful pre visit and during providing ferry, taxi and restaurants information. Stayed in the garden room offering easy access through a private entrance. Located just a short walk from shopping, galleries and restaurants. No need for a vehicle. Looking forward to our next visit. Will definitely stay at 29 India again.

Jeaneen, thanks, you were great guests and walked about the historic center with rare enthusiasm. Great company at breakfast…hope to see you again.
We had a great week at 29 India House. The location is ideal in the historic part of Nantucket, a two minute walk to Main St. The rooms on the ground floor where we stayed are charming and were perfect for us - two adults in the main bedroom and our child in the adjoining bedroom. The rooms are in very good condition and were very comfortable, and had a private entrance onto a very pleasant garden. Forrest and Giuseppe were very gracious hosts who made sure that everything was well taken care of, from the excellent breakfast to the beach towels and umbrellas. We would certainly return.

E. and his family were a great pleasure to have as guests. They explored the Island and Town with great enthusiasm and with the intelligent eye of well-traveled people. They biked to all corners of the Island. Good company and charming. Impeccably neat. Always welcome.
We were really fortunate to find 29 India House available for our 50 Anniversary trip to Nantucket. We had booked The Veranda House which tragically burned just a couple of weeks prior to our trip. Honestly India House was a more convenient location, super close to the historic downtown area. It made exploring those lovely quaint streets very easy. Forrest and Giuseppe were knowledgeable, gracious hosts. 29 India House has been in Forrest's family for generations! The house offers multiple cozy areas for guests to use. We had the Garden Room with a private entrance from the rear garden. The bounteous breakfast featured delicious local fresh fruit, yogurts, boiled eggs, cereals, coffee, juice, and tasty baked goods. It was a lovely array every morning! Those 'line-dried' sheets were crisp and fresh, the bed so comfy, that we slept like babies! It was truly a pleasure.
From the minute your walk onto the property, you know 29 India House is a special place for your getaway. From the lovely furnishings, to the serene and restful back yard, to the simply amazing breakfast spread, Forrest hosts an experience like few others on Nantucket. We had a fantastic stay and our pup couldn't have been happier with the garden, the location, and the possibilities for exploring in all directions from your temporary home on the island. Stay here! You'll treasure the memories long after you've departed! Thank you for sharing the home with us, Forrest! cheers, Tom and Steven
We had a lovely stay at 29 India House. Forrest was a consummate host - he texted before we arrived to check when we'd get to the island, and then made the room available to us right away.
The Garden Room was perfect for us - with separate entrance off the back garden. We loved coming home after dinner to sit in the lounge chairs in the back and look at the stars, and bunnies!
Breakfast each morning outside was also lovely. Thank you to Guiseppe for always having decaf coffee available and always treating us like special guests.
The room has 2 rooms - enough space for 3 people, and pets are allowed!
The rest of the house/inn is filled with beautiful and interesting antiques, and Forrest has great stories to share about these pieces, if you're interested (i was!)
The location is perfect - a quick walk into the hustle and bustle, but also quiet and beautiful.
Enjoy! Hope you have a lovely stay too!

29 India House is the real Nantucket. Wonderfully decorated with a real nod to the history of the home and the island. Our suite was roomy (for me and my 18 year old daughter) and comfortable including our own private entrance through the pretty courtyard. Thoughtful touches such as a complete coffee set up made us so at home. Our breakfast was healthy and tasty. Thank We were just blocks away from Main Street and everything in the center of town was walkable. We’d stay at this lovely home again.
My husband and I had an awesome getaway at 29 India House - comfortable accommodations, yummy breakfast and superb hospitality. The house is steps away from Town (ferry, restaurants and shops). Highly recommend!
