The property was clean and in a good location; however, there was a noticeable smell of damp throughout the house.Unfortunately, we also found the property very uncomfortable. There was nowhere to really relax, either inside or outside. Some comfortable garden furniture would make a huge difference and allow guests to enjoy the garden in good weather, while the lounge is also desperately in need of more comfortable seating. The biggest issue by far, though, was the bed. This was genuinely the worst mattress we have ever slept on. After three very restless nights, we came away feeling more tired than when we arrived. The pillows are also well overdue for replacement. This could be a lovely holiday property with some investment in comfort, but sadly it was the most uncomfortable holiday rental we have ever stayed in. After three sleepless nights, we couldn’t wait to get home and finally have a good night’s sleep.

Cosy cottage with every amenity. It was easy to park opposite. We didn’t use the garden as there was a heatwave. When at the cottage, we tended to stay indoors and keep the curtains closed. The owner was very helpful when we asked her for advice. Two very minor criticisms - I did find the bed a little too firm for me, but ok for my husband. A also I would have liked the shower head to have been detachable, as I forgot my shower cap.
