About this property
Cosy Hut w/ Sea Views & Outdoor Shower
Summary: Soak up the beautiful countryside from this luxurious shepherd’s hut. Perfect for two, it boasts a plush double bed, full kitchen and spacious bathroom. Spend cosy evenings relaxing by the wood burner, or enjoy a spot of alfresco dining when the sun shines. Tucked away in a secluded valley with distant sea views, you’ll feel your shoulders drop from the moment you arrive. The addition of an outdoor shower also adds a unique experience. Free parking is available.
The Space: Nestled in a secluded valley with distant sea views, this is the ideal place to escape for peace and relaxation. Your luxurious shepherd’s hut is perfectly compact, yet it has everything you need to feel more than comfortable. On warm days, fling open the double doors and enjoy the best of indoor-outdoor living. Find a BBQ-fire pit to toast marshmallows, an outdoor shower for long alfresco soaks, plus ample walking routes to set off from the door. When the weather turns, hunker down with the wood-burner on and something hearty cooking on the stove.
Guest Access: Guests will have access to the entire hut and surrounding garden.
The Neighborhood: Despite its rural location, Hollow is remarkably well-connected and ideal for exploring some of Devon's beautiful beaches and attractions. Including, Sidmouth (10 mins), Branscombe, Beer (15 mins) or Lyme Regis, Exmouth, Topsham and the medieval city of Exeter (within 25 mins). Within walking distance, you will find a renowned family pub serving great food. Or enjoy a drink and dining at The Pig at Combe hotel, which is only 5 mins by car. They have excellent cocktails and lunch / dinner menus, plus spa treatments.
Getting Around: We would recommend bringing a car to make the most of your stay here, and there is ample parking available about 25 metres walk down a gravelled pathway to the hut.
It is just under 3 hours on the fast train from London to our nearest rail station in Honiton which is 10 minutes away by taxi or ~15 minutes by bus. There is a bus stop conveniently located at the entrance to the farm which goes from Honiton to Sidmouth and Exeter.
Other Things to Note: Please note: The track from the road down to the huts is quite bumpy, mainly due to wear from winter weather. Please take care when driving down.
If you haven't done so already, please notify us prior to your stay if you are planning on bringing your dog. We charge an additional fee of £30 per dog (maximum 2). For longer stays we may ask for an additional pet deposit to be paid. However, you will be notified of this at the time of booking should this be applicable.

Lovely property and area. Very quiet except for the sound of birds chirping. Very relaxing stay with lovely views. Our dog Mavis loved to explore the surrounds of the hut too. Lovely beaches locally aswell and great pubs nearby for food and drinks.
The hut was clean and well equipped for self catering. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I stayed with my two dogs and we walked The Byes down to Sidmouth and also visited Branscombe while I was there. The track down to the farm is down a steep gravel track but once there, it is in a lovely location with a distant view of the sea, and calm and peaceful.
Lovely situation glorious views and a wonderful place for total relaxation.
The furnishings were to very high spec and everything was provided to our satisfaction.

Hi David. Thank you for your great review. I'm so pleased you had a relaxing time at Wolversleigh Farm. Hopefully we can host you again sometime. Thanks again.
We absolutely loved our stay here and just wished it could have been longer. Totally private, peaceful and relaxing, with glorious views of the countryside by day and the stars at night. The shepherd's hut is cleverly and beautifully converted, clean and cosy and equipped with everything you need. We cooked, sat by the fire, and slept like logs in the comfortable bed.Booking, check-in and check-out were all easy and free of fuss, and Will responded promptly to the couple of questions we had.We visited Sidmouth, Beer and Lyme Regis during our 3-night stay; but frankly would have been just as happy to sit with our books and the sound of the birds, doing nothing! We would love to come back.
It was a little hard to find, as entry is easy to miss and I wasn't sure which of the cabins it was. But once I got there it was worth the effort: a very nice shepherd's hut, with good facilities and the view was wonderful even in early spring, the only nearby neighbours are the pheasants and deer.Bad: Drive down (or especially back up) is very steep on gravel track so took some practice to get up. A couple of maintenance issues/improvements/need for deep clean. Good: Location, accommodation, view, general cleanness (shower, kitchen etc...), host, peace and quiet.Overall: Recommended.

Particularly regarding minor fixes and cleaning - we'll be sure to address these areas swiftly. It’s great to hear that you would recommend staying with us and we hope to welcome you back for another relaxing getaway!
The views were absolutely beautiful, such as peaceful spot in the middle of the countryside which is exactly what we wanted but also perfect for explore the jurassic coast, little coastal villages/towns and countryside. Also lovely to find somewhere and very thankful they were happy to accept our 2 little doggies (for a fee) which is not an easy thing to find . We had great communication from the property manager throughout the whole booking process and our stay when necessary. The steep driveway to the hut definately gave our car a workout but just added to the fun. The property itself is beautifully done, had everything we needed for our stay but on arrival there was quite a lot of cobwebs and dusty bits on the walls/shelf and floor but nothing a little whip around with the handheld hoover we always bring couldn't solve and it certaintly didn't impact our stay. Overall a very enjoyable, wonderfully beautiful and peaceful place to stay and explore the beautiful East Devon landscapes and jurassic coast.
Thank you and we'll definitely be back!
