With 240° views of the Pacific Ocean, Gold Coast, & the beautiful
Diamond Head crater behind us, there really is no better spot.

Floor to ceiling full sliding doors in the living area
ensure your guests at gatherings enjoy truly the best views.
Whether that be the surfers, paddlers from the Outrigger club (next door),
or the evening sailboat flotilla that coasts ahead of you as you sip a
Mai Tai at sunset.

The penthouse itself has 2 bedrooms +plus modern bathroom & a well-equipped kitchen.
Please note you walk through one bedroom to get to the second.

Our suite is entirely yours for the duration of your stay
with its full-length private lanai (that has ample seating for eight)
included, should you wish to have friends over to share your
luxurious vacation views. (No worries)

Great location and views!

We enjoyed our stay. The location and views can't be beat. Within walking of restaurants, shopping and beaches. We even walked to the KCC farmers market on Saturday which was great! The unit could use a refresh of the bathroom but overall a very pleasant stay.

Spectacular views

Waking up and falling asleep listening to the sound of the waves was so peaceful. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our week in Hawaii! The check in process was very convenient and the host was easy to get ahold of for questions. The condo is away from the busy streets of Waikiki but also just a short walk to spend the evening eating and shopping. We walked back and forth daily just for the beauty of the walk in the amazing weather. The views on the balcony are so breathtaking and the condo was so quiet. The penthouse had everything we needed to cook with and the beds were very comfortable. I already want to go back and stay here again!

We had a great time at this condo - the views are truly amazing. Ocean in the front, and gorgeous mountain landscapes in the back. The location was perfect - it was an easy 5 minute drive to get to Honolulu, but we weren't right in the city so it was more peaceful. The condo was very clean, updated and spacious - plenty of room for our family of 4. The beach is a bit of a walk from the condo. It is possible to access the ocean right in front of the condo, but you need to climb down a ladder into the water, which was too challenging for my 6 and 10 year old. Overall, a great experience!

Perfect Location in Wiakiki

This is a beautiful condo in the perfect location. It is a quick walk down the beach to get to the excitment of Wiakiki, but far enough out that you can still drive easily to other parts of the island for exploration. If you like to run there is a great run, about 6 km, around Diamond Head. The condo is great, the lanai has a spectacular view out over the water where you can nearly always see surfer and the canoe from the club a couple of building down the beach. The only funny thing is that the entrance to the second bedroom if from the first rather than off the hallway. That said, I would still book this condo when back on Oahu. As a matter of fact I tried, but it was already rented for my dates.

Location and views are fantastic.

Location and views are fantastic and don’t disappoint. The condo has some wear and tear that shows but okay. Cleanliness was okay but for me not great. You could see fingerprints on the cabinets in the kitchen and doors throughout which looked like they had been there a while. This bothered me the most. Dirt buildup on baseboards and tile. A little cleaning adjustment would go a long way. Overall our stay was still good and relaxing!

Everything you could wish for in a vacation spot

Amazing views, good location, comfortably furnished, with everything you need and no clutter. We loved using the table with views of Diamond Head and the ocean that cleverly folds out from the wall, saving space when not in use. We didn’t need the AC except at night in the bedroom because the sliding glass doors open to allow the breezes in. There is actually another penthouse unit above this one, but this is the highest floor that the elevator goes to (14th floor is only accessible via stairs). We will be back! P.S. Try ‘Yoga For My Homies’ in Leahi Park, Li Hing Mui flavor shave ice at Waiola Shave Ice, poke at Ono Seafood and scones from Diamond Head Market.

Great location, not great apartment

Pros: the views are breathtaking and the location is first rate. Cons: This apartment could use a total refresh. It’s old and everything needs to be replaced. The outdoor dining is a misnomer. The sliding doors need to be open to erect the table so it is not possible to have both outdoor dining and indoor air conditioning. The second bedroom is as wide as the bed. It is only accessible through the other bedroom.

Sunrise over Diamond Head

Indeed a true gem - great position away from the bustle of Waikiki central but still easy 20 minute walk away, with panoramic breathtaking views around you. Folding doors opened , extension table opened - perfect spot for breakfast. Lanai in the afternoon - for a kip , catch the sea breeze, spotting for whales - see them most days heading east. Great snorkelling below, with mask and flippers (including boogie boards x2 and a surfboard) provided. Saw turtles but missed the oppurtunity to swim with them. No beach access however. Slightly rocky. Safe ways ( and Leonard's Malasadas!) walking distance away - don't really need Waikiki. Comfy beds, city views from bedroom, heaps of cupboard space. Pillows could be better though... Kitchen well equipped. Cooling works well but didn't need it. We'll be back in a heartbeat! Thanks for your help, Mark (great to deal with)! Mahalo!

Just short of perfection

I have stayed in this apartment several times. I love the location and the multiple views from the property are the best in Honolulu. As you enter the property you have huge views of Diamond Head to the left and sweeping views of the ocean. From the right side of the building from the bedrooms you have peek views up the coast of Waikiki to Hilton Hawaiian Village (to watch the fireworks) and beautiful open views over Kapiolani Park and Manoa in the distance. From the front covered balcony you are hanging right over beautiful clear water, reefs and plenty of surfing and outrigger canoe action to watch. My favorite thing in the apartment is the dining table which opens up when you open the wide glass pocket sliders on the left side of the living room. Dining at that table is fantastic. Check in was a breeze, communication was great. Kitchen has everything you need to cook some meals, however the trash can is very small. The trash chute was stuck at the top floor, full of bags that did not go down the chute. This was reported to the front desk but was not cleared up for 4 days. Not a big deal, just took the trash down to the 1st floor. Laundry is available in the garage. I managed to mess up the main channel for cable but that was operator error and I didn't bother to get it fixed. There is a printer available in the small back bedroom which comes in handy for printing out tickets and boarding passes. I lowered a star for a couple of cleanliness and wear and tear issues. All of the windows were dirty. These windows are easily accessed from the balconies and need to be cleaned more regularly. I personally feel that the master bed is raised too high for easy access. You have to step onto the side of the bed to get up on the mattress. Minimal storage available in the bathroom for longer stays. Carpet in bedrooms shows a lot of wear and tear and dirt. The wood flooring is on it's last leg. None of these issues would deter me from renting this place again. There are beach chairs and beach towels available, snorkel gear, soft surfboard and a boogie board. These were great for snorkeling out front with the turtles. One of my favorite places to stay.

Can’t beat this view!

We’ve been staying at the DBH for 30+ years, back when it was a hotel, and loved coming back recently for a family reunion over thanksgiving. The condo was great- everything we needed during our stay, and the balcony view can’t be beat!
