Originally conceived as a horse stable and carriage house for the adjacent noble palace, this magnificent estate was crafted by the current owner's great-grandfather, Egidio, an enterprising merchant of oil, wine, and Lucca's finest cheeses, who extended his trade beyond Italy's borders, reaching as far as Brazil.Today, the holiday home exudes an atmosphere of timeless elegance, enriched by the exquisite outdoor furnishings adorned with intricate stone statues. These masterpieces were sculpted by the owner’s grandfather, a gifted artist who honed his craft in a historic atelier perched on the ancient walls of Lucca. The train station is located very close so the passing trains pass at a very slow speed as they are preparing to stop. This causes the noise to be low or sometimes almost imperceptible.
