Disappointing stay, especially for the priceThe apartment photographs beautifully, but was much less comfortable in person. The floor felt wet when we arrived, only one burner on the induction stove worked, and the attractive-looking couch was tiny, shallow and uncomfortable. My bedroom had an extremely small sink that made washing my face or brushing my teeth difficult, plus no counter space for toiletries. The biggest frustration was the electronic entry system. My parents repeatedly received a “this link has expired” error when trying to access the apartment from their phones. When we called MIT House for assistance, we were essentially told, “I’m trying it now and it works for me,” rather than having the problem investigated. We eventually figured out ourselves that the link worked on our Apple phones but not on my parents’ Android phones. Whether this was a compatibility issue or something else, the property operator should have helped troubleshoot it rather than dismissing the problem. The apartment photographs very well, but in person we found it much less comfortable and functional than we expected. At more than 800 per night, these issues were particularly disappointing.Madrid is wonderful, but unfortunately this apartment was not a good part of our experience. I would skip this property and look for another option.
