My wife and I came here for an anniversary trip and loved it. The house is secluded, well kept, and inviting. We enjoyed the various amenties offered including the deck firepit, outdoor shower, and hot tub. The road is very close to the house but you don't really notice it.
Very sweet place along a river. We used the kayakes, the hot tub, the fire pit,and went fishing. Great place to unwind and set by the river. There were little towns to go shop and eat out.
This was our second time staying here and we had a great time. This is one of my favorite places to stay! Its perfect for our family! We love the location and amenities. The house was clean and wine and pumpkin bread were waiting for us. Everything you need is already thought of for you! Love the labeled lightswitches! So helpful!
The cabin was so nice! Everything from the hot tub, the outdoor shower, and the swing beside the river was PERFECT! The bottle of wine and pumpkin bread was an added and nice suprise! Thank you for a wonderful getaway spot!
This is the second time we have visited the cabin for our anniversary. And as before, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean. Beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the complementary pumpkin bread and bottle of wine. The views were exceptional. The greatest improvement we found from the last time was the steps to the river. It made fishing and getting into the river, so much more easy. The only downfall, of course, is the traffic noise but honestly, after a while, you don’t even pay attention to it.
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. We especially appreciated all of the thoughtful touches like the wine, pumpkin bread, and books for kids on the coffee table.
The cabin was great, loved the location along the river. Enjoyed the large deck, grill, and hot tub. Property was very clean and had everything we needed. Thanks for the great stay.
We came to Ohio at the request of our son who chose that as his vacation spot. We really enjoyed the beauty of the state. The cabin was perfect. It had everything we needed and was exceptionally neat and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and the kayaks. We found many things to do in the area and the weather was perfect. Many thanks to the hosts!!
This place was great, they had everything ,even item we forgot, inside was great, outside was great, hated to leave, had a good time at local attractions and tubing the river, good time
Property was very quaint. Extremely clean. everything at your finger tips to have a great relaxing weekend with family/friends.
the beds were super comfortable, had the best night's sleep!
We had a great time at this property for a short, out of town celebration. Our dog enjoyed the yard to run around, and we were so glad to find a property that catered to dogs. You can tell the owners of this property put time into the details and personal touches to make guests feel at home. Thanks again for an amazing stay!

Nice little getaway from everyday life…
A bit too cold for my liking temperature wouldn’t go above 70…
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it's definitely a favorite. All the small touches like cool music playing when we arrived, wine and local seasonal pumpkin bread were so nice. The jacuzzi and fire pit were great and bed was comfy. Decorated so cute and being immersed in nature was so special.
If you are looking to get away, this is a great, tranquil spot. As I got out of the car and approached the cabin it smelled like honeysuckle outside. Spent most of our time on the back deck taking in the scenic views, relaxing in the hottub, playing ball with the dogs, and just enjoying nature. Perfect spot off the beaten path would definitely come back!
We had a great time, definitely recommend. As soon as you walk in you feel very welcomed, home made bread, soft music and some wine! The hot tub is enjoyable and my kids loved the outdoor shower. Sure, the traffic on the road is close but it doesn't make the stay unbearable.
Thank you again for it all.
This cabin is a gem! Clean, beautiful backyard nestled up against a lazy river. Easy to get to with good phone reception. Hot tub was very relaxing. Huge back deck. Beds were very comfortable. We stay at a different cabin every year (usually in Hocking Hills) but this cabin may very well be our favorite so far!

About the host

We were married in 1995 and are from the local area. We currently reside in Apple Valley so this cabin is just a short drive enabling us to make sure that your stay goes without a hitch. While we own several rentals in the area this is our first vacation rental. We often use VRBO when we travel, which we do often. I have been a full time REALTOR with RE/MAX and have been licensed since 1987. Sue manages the books and any other areas that need attention with our many ventures.
Why they chose this property
This property came up at the local foreclosure sale and I fell in love with it!, My wife not so much. This was a very big project and there is not 1 square inch of this place that we didn't touch. It was a lot of fun seeing my wife warm up to it. My wife is known to have very particular requirements in any place we stay. Our friends have all told us that once I can get my wife to stay here it is ready for the public; my wife now loves to stay here. Its just a short trip from our home but feels like vacation.
What makes this property unique
River, river and river. This cabin is great: really comfortable inside and nice enough for a girls escape, family fun, romanic coupe time, or mens fishing/hunting trip. A super clean river like the Kokosing running through the back yard just makes it! Super large deck, outdoor shower, great access to so much, all adds to the value. The river and newly added hot tub just have a way to ease all of the tensions of the "daily grind".
