You enter through the front porch which has ample hanging space for coats and boot storage. Off the hallway is a spacious living room with large sliding doors overlooking the garden. There are comfortable sofas, a smart TV with Sky and an open fire. Walk round the side of the fire and there's a separate dining area, which leads through to the kitchen (also accessible from the hallway).
A well equipped modern kitchen has an electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and integrated dishwasher. Off the kitchen is a useful utility room with a separate washing machine and tumble drier. The utility room also has an outside door so you can also enter the cottage that way and there's an outside tap here too.
The main bedroom suite has a king size bed, and patio doors overlook the back garden. It has a dressing room area and en-suite with a walk in shower, washbasin and WC. Bedroom two is at the front of the cottage and has twin 3' single beds, which can be joined together to make a super king double on request. There's a second bathroom just opposite with a shower over the bath, washbasin and WC.
Outside the secluded garden is fully enclosed with a flint wall backing onto the dunes. There is an outside dining table and four chairs and an artificial lawn. At the front of the property there is ample parking for three cars. Two dogs are welcome at Pebblelight but more may be possible – please ask us. Dogs are very welcome throughout the property. If they join you on the furniture we do ask that you use the throws provided.

A lovely comfortable bungalow in an excellent position for lovely beach walks and easy access to the local amenities of Winterton on Sea.
It has a pretty rear garden that is fully enclosed by a high wall, which is ideal for the dogs.
We appreciated the quietness of the bungalow and enjoyed evenings sitting in the garden.
A very enjoyable stay, thank you.

Happy New Year
We had another wonderful new year experience at Pebblelight. An exciting selection of goodies to welcome us, a snug, warm interior, comfortable beds plus everything our dogs could wish for. We even had plenty of snow which made the beautiful scenery absolutely stunning.

Lovely winter stay
We've been to Pebblelight previously so knew what to expect. Fabulous location for a winter stay with our dog. Nearby walks are still fab. The pub is still great. The fish and chip shop is still wonderful. The bungalow is warm , clean and has all we needed for a comfortable , relaxing week.
Couple of slight niggles: the cistern in the bathroom needs looking at as the flush isn't working properly. The central heating timer needs a look at as it seems to come on/go off at some very strange times !
Other than that everything is in place for a great stay in a fantastic location.

Nice property
Pebblelight is a very homely, comfortable property. Everything was very easy to use and the heating was efficient. The property never felt cold even when the heating was off. Lovely to have an open fire but we didn't need to light it. Kitchen is well stocked with crockery, glasses and pans, but it would have been helpful for a supply of cling film/foil to wrap up things in the fridge. The property is a very short walk to the beach and also close to a network of restricted byways which were very quiet walking alternatives. The garden is small but with so many walking opportunities close to hand, our dog was happy enough. Being at the end of a cul de sac we didn't experience any noise from outside, it was very peaceful. Parking on the driveway was perfect.

Perfect dog walking stay
Pebblelight was a great find. The perfect place for us, our friends and the two dogs. It was clean and tidy and the perfect layout for us to have our own space. Lots of room to park and a nice little secure garden.
A very short walk straight into the dunes and miles of empty beach. We saw far more seals than humans!
Winterton is a lovely little village with a great pub, coffee shop and the best fish and chip shop. Highly recommended

Another lovely holiday
Great to see the bungalow during a different season and still be able to soak up the sun in the sheltered, walled garden. A lovely, comfortable base from which to explore the countryside on foot. It really is a property where humans and dogs are made to feel truly welcome.

Comfortable and warm
Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, everything we needed in the kitchen. Easy access to the beach- which our dogs loved- and a useful shop in the village. We would recommend Pebblelight to friends, and hope to return ourselves.

Wonderfully cosy, dog friendly accommodation in Winterton
Our first time staying at Pebblelight and hopefully not our last. Fantastic location in Winterton & a lovely accommodation. Throws provided for the sofa & dog bowls. We could truly relax, there together with our dog, which isn't always the case at some 'dog friendly' accommodation. Great communication from Lorraine & Colin before we arrived so we knew what to do should we have any problems. The kitchen contained everything we needed and a useful separate utility area for drying down the dog & leaving boots & coats. We've always loved Winterton & now we've got another great reason to return again. Thank you.

Perfect stay at Pebblelight
This is our 2nd stay at Pebblelight and as before had a very comfortable and happy holiday. The bungalow is very well equipped and beds very comfy. The position of Pebblelight couldn’t be better close to the beach, local shop, pub, cafe and fish & chips.
The garden is totally enclosed which was great for our 2 dogs. Hope to return again.
Only downside was the dynamic pricing on the Winterton Cottages booking system which elevated the prices the more you viewed the property.
Response from VrboOwner on 30 June 2025
Thank you for the great review for Pebblelight! To address the comment about dynamic pricing, it is in no way linked to the number of times the property is viewed on the website so that would have had no effect. We're always happy to answer any queries about prices prior to booking.

Comfortable, great location.
Pebblelight is in a perfect location, I have stayed before - so know that I can park up on the private drive and not use the car to get around Winterton.
Lorraine has provided everything for a home-from-home feeling; from comfortable beds to a well equipped kitchen. The garden table and chairs were a new addition this year, and much used on our stay!
Pebblelight is just a short stroll over the sand dunes to the beach. And walking back, the dog friendly Poppys tearoom is worth a visit.
Winterton fish and chips shop now has an app for your phone - just order online and get a notification with a collection time.
I have already booked our 2026 stay!

Pebblelight stay in Winterton
We had a lovely holiday in Pebblelight. It is a lovely bungalow fully equipped with everything you need for a holiday,
It has a garden which is great as my dog loved it. Lovely comfy beds which was a bonus, a few minutes to the dunes and beach.
A short drive or walk to the pub but a few minutes walk to Poppies which does great breakfast and snacks during the day, a small supermarket and the fish and chip shop which I thoroughly recommend .
Great Yarmouth , Hemsby, Horsey are easily reach by car as well as lots of other places also within easy reach.
I definitely recommend Pebblelight and we hope to return.

Enjoyed our stay
Had a lovely four day break here , it was nice and warm when we arrived and we felt at home immediately. It’s so close to the beach , shop , cafe , pub and chippy you couldn’t ask for a better location. The locals are very friendly too ! The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and I’m sure it’s a sun trap in the summertime. We loved being able to hear the sea from the back garden ! There’s plenty of space for four adults so as a couple with one dog we had plenty of room . The super king bed was really comfortable, it could do with a couple of extra pillows though . We liked that it was carpeted apart from the kitchen and bathrooms , it makes it very homely. We have stayed in Winterton a few times and this was the nicest holiday home we’ve rented so far. The owners are always available should you need them which is also a plus point .

Really good cottage ... except ...
Stay at Pebblelight was really enjoyable. We have stayed in Winterton for many years but have usually been a little further out of the village overlooking the dunes and the sea. We thought that we'd really miss those views but the convenience of the shop, pub, chippy and the dunes and beach more than outweighed those.
The cottage itself takes a little bit of getting used to due to its layout but once done it has enough space for 4 people and 2 dogs to find their own spots. It was clean and had just about everything that we needed plus there was a very nice welcome hamper which is always a plus. Beds were really comfy and the showers are lovely.
The only downside we could really come up with was the sofa and chair arrangement. With 4 bums to seat the "3 seater" sofa is obviously needed and the third person has to sit in-between the two seat cushions. I appreciate that it's very unlikely but replacing this arrangement with two two-seaters would make it work better for 4 guests.
We also had some internet issues but the owner was very helpful and apologetic although it would appear that it was nothing to do with the equipment in the property but was actually an Open Reach issue ( which is not unusual around Winterton
apparently )
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay which could be improved with different furniture
Lovely property a few minutes walk to the beach or grassy dunes. Very peaceful nice enclosed garden . Third visit for us and wouldn’t hesitate to go again.
