The space
The Ground Floor
The ground floor of Shellharbour features three beautifully appointed bedrooms—a super king, a twin, and a king bedroom with an en suite shower and loo. Each room is accessed off the main hallway, with the king bedroom and sitting room opening onto a charming veranda at the front of the house. The modern kitchen, complete with a 5-burner gas range oven and stone worktops, offers a bright and fresh space that leads to a balcony with stunning views over the expansive garden and sea.
A family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower is located on the landing between the ground and lower ground floors. Throughout the floor, period features have been carefully preserved, maintaining the original character of the building.
Lower Ground Floor
The lower ground floor at Shellharbour offers a practical and spacious utility room, complete with a sink, washing machine, dryer, and ample storage for sandy beachwear and boots. This floor also includes a second bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, and loo. Through the utility room, you can access the expansive garden, featuring a small patio perfect for barbecues, with plenty of space for sunbathing or playing games.
A cosy snug/playroom is also located on this floor, equipped with a comfortable sofa bed, providing an optional sleeping area for two additional guests, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation or family fun.
First Floor
The first floor at Shellharbour, a converted attic space, offers the perfect retreat for those looking to relax or work while on holiday. With a dedicated desk and office chair, it's an ideal spot for catching up on work or enjoying some quiet time. The stunning, far-reaching views from this floor stretch all the way to Portsmouth and the iconic Spinnaker Tower, providing a serene and inspiring backdrop for both productivity and relaxation.
The Garden
The large, wraparound garden at Shellharbour is perfect for enjoying both morning sunshine and stunning sunsets. It offers plenty of grassy space, with a patio area near the house ideal for BBQs. At the end of the garden, you'll find a private parking space and access to the road leading down to the beach, making it convenient for coastal strolls.
Dogs
Shellharbour warmly welcomes guests to bring their furry friends along, with a small fee of £35 per pet, per stay, to cover extra cleaning. The East Wight is exceptionally dog-friendly, offering many beautiful coastal and scenic walks right from the front door. This property accommodates up to two dogs or cats, making it the perfect getaway for you and your pets to enjoy together.
