A lovely semi-detached rural holiday home perfect for a couple’s romantic getaway. Located 20 miles from Widemouth Bay on the Cornish coastline and Dartmoor National Park is just 12 miles away.. All on the Ground Floor:

Bay Tree Cottage is in a very peaceful and rural location surrounded by lovely Devonshire countryside .It is the perfect place for a romantic getaway for two or for relaxing days out on the beach – you’ll be spoilt for choice in this part of the world with some of the best beaches in the UK being no more than about 45 minutes’ drive away. For those who love scenic walks and discovery then the options are endless. This property which is available to book with a similar, slightly larger one next door is located next to the owner’s home who is on hand should you need anything. It is all on one level a comfortable and contemporary accommodation for two comprising of an open plan living room with TV, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom has a double bed and there’s a shower room with a walk-in shower. Outside you’ll find a shared lawn and woodland and a private enclosed courtyard with seating and spaces to enjoy a lovely meal or evening drink.
Locally you will find an archery centre and the famous Warhorse Museum. Hatherleigh is nearby, with two pubs, a shop, fish and chip shop, tourist information and a great café that does all day breakfasts and delicious homemade cakes. This part of rural Devon is known as Ruby Country, ideal for walkers and countryside lovers, and is also within easy reach of the Tarka Trail which offers spectacular off road walking and cycling. Further afield, the stunning coastline offers plenty of beaches, ideal for surfing, swimming and rock pool fun.
The coastal towns of Bude, Clovelly, Bideford and Westward Ho! are all within 35-50 minutes by car, where you will find traditional seaside activities, surfing and the South West Coast Path. The pretty fishing villages of Padstow and Port Isaac, made famous by Doc Martin, the hit TV series, are well worth a visit, as is mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle. A shorter drive south takes you to the wild beauty of Dartmoor National Park where you can have a delightful pub lunch in the village of Belstone or take a walk on the moors and see Dartmoor ponies. Stunning Exmoor with its amazing night skies, Bodmin Moor, RHS Rosemoor at Great Torrington, several National Trust properties and a good variety of visitor attractions are all within easy reach too.
