There was so much to love about Castellare. Our group loved the grounds and the surrounding nature. The house was clean and the staff were kind. We loved the pool area as well. And the houses were historical beauties with so much charm. We loved being able to wake up, cook a meal, eat on the terrace, then walk the grounds and roads and take in the Tuscan countryside. We also loved the wine tasting! Overall we loved our stay.Because the house is old, there were some things that went along with that: the walls are extremely thick to keep out the elements so there wasn’t a lot of natural light in some of the rooms. Because the outdoor areas are so beautiful, though, this did not detract from our stay but I wanted to mention it since reality differed from the expectations of the photos. We would certainly stay here again!
