The cottage was lovely! There was plenty of space, spacious rooms throughout and having the extra toilet downstairs was definitely a bonus! Julie was very helpful with recommendations and was very good with answering messages. Checking in and out was a breeze and overall we were very pleased with the accommodation! Would recommend and would definitely visit again at some point! We enjoyed walking around the New Forest and exploring Lyndhurst in general.

Lovely cottage. Great location, very close to high street for some quaint shops and great eateries. Quiet location. Small, pet and child friendly, tadequate garden. Few issues at start, partly sorted quickly by owners. Parking was somewhat tight, once parked, minimal space, only able to get out one side. Very well stocked kitchen utilities. Lovely welcome gift. Wine, chocolates and dog treats.

Perfect location, close to the beautiful forest and a stroll from the best Lyndhurst has to offer. The house was a perfect size for our family.

Great location to explore the area. Check-in was very easy and rooms were very comfortable. The outside space needs to be tidied to be more welcoming. Very happy with our stay overall.

We chose Rhubarb cottage for our New Forest stay because we wanted a property that would accept dogs and was in easy walking distance of the new forest trails. The cottage did not disappoint. It was clean and well presented. There was no dog smell that you can get in places that accept dogs which was great and it helped our one settle much quicker than he has in other accommodation in the past. The cottage had everything you needed for cooking, cleaning, loo roll, hand soap, even towels in the bathroom and a super king bed in the master bedroom. The welcome gift on arrival was much appreciated and something we (including the dog) loved. Coming home, after a day of walking, into the cottage was exactly what was ordered. Warming up by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate (it was January) was perfect. In the local area, there are lots of amenities in the town with various restaurants and tea shops and the cottage is just a 5min walk to it all. Hubby particularly enjoyed the fish and chips off the high street. Our hosts also left us a pass which allowed us to park in some of the car parks around the different towns in the new forest for free - which was really handy. For new forest walks there are loads both within a walkable distance of the cottage or a short drive (under 10 minutes). All in all, we got everything we wanted from our short break. The cottage and it’s location was a huge part of that. Thank you for having us. We will definitely be returning in the future.
