Post Box Cottage - a self catering cottage that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

This lovely period cottage offers comfortable and well-presented accommodation in one of North Norfolk's most desirable coastal villages. With two off-road parking spaces, it's an ideal base for families or couples looking to explore the coast and countryside.

The property features two bedrooms — a double and a twin — along with a ground floor bathroom, cosy living room, and a well-equipped dining kitchen, providing everything needed for a relaxing stay.

Stiffkey is a highly regarded coastal village, popular for its stunning natural surroundings and relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a well-loved gastro pub, along with a village shop and deli for everyday essentials.

The area is renowned for its exceptional walking routes. From the cottage, you can follow the Norfolk Coast Path or venture out across Stiffkey Marshes, part of the Blakeney National Nature Reserve—an expansive and unspoilt saltmarsh landscape rich in wildlife and breathtaking coastal views. These marshes form one of the UK's most important habitats for birds and provide a truly picturesque setting leading out towards the beach and Blakeney Point.

A short drive brings you to some of North Norfolk's finest destinations, including the vast sandy beaches along the coast and the impressive Holkham Hall estate, set within extensive parkland, woodland and coastal landscapes—perfect for a full day out exploring.

Whether you're looking for coastal walks, wildlife, or simply a peaceful retreat, this cottage offers the perfect base to enjoy everything North Norfolk has to offer.
The cottage has had a number of recent upgrades and improvements, in response to guest comments and feedback. Extensive building works to nearby properties have now been completed, which should also contribute to more relaxed and enjoyable experience for guests.

A small but characterful cottage in a very agreeable location

The cottage is adjacent to stiffkey stores which was very convenient & close to the small stiffkey river which was ideal for a picnic. It is is set in a gravel cul-de-sac with other period properties. Located close to beautiful beaches including Holkam, Wells & Blakney. The wildlife is fabulous & each morning & evening we were entertained by a number of Swifts & Swallows. At nightime an Owl would hoot tunefully behind our cottage. The coast is rich in birds & wildlife. It is a very picturesque area & very unspoilt & natural. We would certainly return.

Excellent location for exploring the North Norfolk coast

Lovely cottage, it was very relaxing and the selection of local books was a bonus, more of a personal touch. Home from home. Thank you for the Apple Juice and goodies.

Warm, cosy, well equipped cottage

Quiet, cosy cottage with everything that we needed and parking right outside the house. Walking distance to the village shop and pub. The generous welcome pack was much appreciated too! Would definitely recommend.

4/10 Poor

No fans in the bedrooms upstairs in the loft. Yes, it was hot weather when we stayed but from a health and safety aspect there should be fans provided for sleeping at night. The loft rooms are unbearable to be in especially when the hot tank is housed in between these rooms which only adds to the heat. 40 degrees is not acceptable frankly.

Dissappointed

Upon entering dissapointment hit immediately.Ornaments With do not touch, hardly welcoming.Beds unuseable due to cheap mattresses,we slept sitting up on the setteees.Tv was a joke, had to re tune every day.In the double bedroom the floor leading to the window was sinking. The twin bedroom had a crack running from floor to ceiling in the corner. On the stairs a baby gate had been fixed to the stairs, which if you didn't know was there you caught your head on.In the kitchen was a large dehumidifier whic was neither on the pictures or the desciption which leaked onto the worktop. The most serious though was a bedside lamp which was plugged in which was broken, with exposed wires. Of which i have pictures.I reported this ,it was collected but no apology. All in all i don't think this cottage is fit for a holiday let.A rather dissappointing and expensive week.
