From Sept 1st we no longer offer row boats, but canoe man is on site for rentals, visit their website and prebook or book on arrival

(Please Note Carefully: Broad Lodge Houseboats 2 - Filby, 4 - Hickling, 6 - Salhouse, 8 - Wroxham have larger more accessible balconies as illustrated in the photographs)

Please be aware that access to the houseboat is via an uneven wooden pathway. Entry onto the houseboat involves stepping over a gap above the water between the shore and the vessel. This may present challenges for individuals with limited mobility. We kindly ask that you contact us prior to booking if you have any concerns regarding accessibility

Set in their own relatively private and quiet area, our houseboats are the ideal location on the River Ant to experience the beauty and tranquillity the area has to offer. The Broads is home to a huge variety of the rarest wildlife - greater than any other national park in Britain - and the stunning landscape has become a ‘must-see’ for visitors.

Our newly refurbished houseboats sleep up to 4 guests. Dog friendly
(dogs must be kept on leads when they are outside of the boat at all times)

The main living area offers a deceptively spacious lounge/dining area, with tv, dining table and chairs and a fully equipped kitchen.

There is a double bedroom and also a twin bedroom, each sleeping 2 guests, and each with views out to the water.

Parking is included (up to 2 cars) and the location is perfect for easy access to many attractions in the area by car or bicycle.

Please be aware that there can be slight noise at times caused by the natural movement of the water which can cause the houseboat to rock against the bank to which it is shored

We all enjoyed our stay and booked our day boat and restaurant based on the information we were sent which was very helpful. Peaceful stay and loved the ducks and swans who came right up to the doors. Recommend it

The houseboat is perfect for a quiet, relaxing stay on the Broads. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the wildlife and the boats going by. There’s a hotel nearby where we ate. It served good, tasty food with huge portions.
